"When does My Lord plan to depart?"

"In... three days, perhaps."

After the formalities, Landon found an excuse and took his leave.

As they left the palace, silence enveloped them once again. They both understood that someone needed to give in, but their pride held them back and trapped them in this awkward state.

"Cough, cough... You... I'm sorry about the other day," Landon conceded and breaking the silence.

"Ah... Oh... No, that day... I was at fault too," Mateo replied.

Once again, silence fell between them.

"Um... today, I'll return to your place... is that okay?" Mateo grumbled silently and wondering how they ended up in this petulant lovers' quarrel.

"Huh? Sure."

Hey! What's with the "Huh? Sure." meant?

Mateo felt that Landon was challenging the limit of his patience.

Well, I guess this counts as making up...?

But why did it end up like this?
