Yoriichi swung his sword, executing the Sun Breathing technique's 9th form, the Dragon Sun Halo Head dance.
It was a technique where the user swung their sword in a constant flux while channeling the aura of a flame-wreathed dragon.
The mesmerizing display of this form caught the attention of Ginryu, who saw it as a beautiful dance with strokes of fire.
As Yoriichi continued his elegant movements, he couldn't help but feel a sense of frustration with Ginryu's attack.
Not only were the blood pellets extremely fast, but not all the pellets aimed at him were solid, making his sword pass through some of them.
Additionally, he had to avoid the resulting blood splatter, as he didn't know what Ginryu would do next if his blood touched him.
"That's it, Yoriichi! Show me more!" Ginryu yelled out loud, his excitement evident in his voice.
Ginryu raised his hand towards Yoriichi, with thin blood threads now connected to it.
He had been gathering the splatter from the blood pellets. Most of them were connected to the blood threads on Ginryu's hand.
Muttering a skill name he just made up, "Inverse Blood Lotus," Ginryu clenched his fist, manipulating the blood threads.
The shattered pellets and blood splatter, which had now covered a wide area, suddenly rejoined behind Yoriichi.
They exploded into an uncountable number of threads with needle-like tips, all converging at Yoriichi while forming a shape reminiscent of a lotus.
Ginryu smiled at the beauty of his creation, eagerly waiting for Yoriichi to make his move.
He was having so much fun in this battle, not wanting it to end anytime soon.
Yoriichi, upon seeing the attack, transitioned his current sun breathing form to the sun breathing fourth form.
This was a circular slash that completely enveloped the area around the user, protecting them while also damaging enemies caught in the move.
He managed to deflect most of the attack, but Ginryu wasn't going to just watch.
Ginryu noticed that the defense of the form Yoriichi was currently using was weak against heavy attacks.
He began creating a heavy spear canon with his blood, taking advantage of Yoriichi's concentration on deflecting his previous attack.
The inverse blood lotus was a continuous skill as long as the blood threads remained connected to Ginryu's hands.
With a powerful swish, Ginryu threw the blood spear with his free hand, aiming it straight at Yoriichi.
'If he doesn't dodge this attack, he might get skewered,' Ginryu thought eagerly, curious about Yoriichi's next move.
Yoriichi barely noticed Ginryu's incoming heavy attack as he was still dealing with the inverse blood lotus.
Instead of stopping his defense, he simply transitioned from the Sun Breathing fourth form to the seventh form, Beneficent Radiance.
This allowed him to spiral into the air, avoiding the heavy spear attack, before coming down with a deadly slash.
Ginryu wasn't going to miss such a chance; by spiraling into the air, Yoriichi created a big opening.
It was hard to maneuver and generate a strong force when in the air because there wasn't anything to push against.
Even if Yoriichi could execute an attack, it wouldn't pack a punch in any other direction except the attack was a downward slash using the force of gravity.
So Ginryu redirected his blood lotus to attack from above Yoriichi. Yoriichi would have to block, leaving him open at the bottom.
Ginryu could have redirected his attack to come from below, which would have left Yoriichi helpless in the air, but he was still sane, despite all the flashy moves he had made.
He was aware that this was still a spar in the end.
He wanted to force Yoriichi to the ground faster by attacking from above instead, making it a bit harder for Yoriichi to transition into another of his Sun Breathing forms.
The end game was him successfully disarming Yoriichi, which should end the fight or so he believed.
As soon as Yoriichi hit the ground, Ginryu didn't waste any time making his move.
Yoriichi, as soon as he landed, tried to create some distance. Ginryu, having anticipated this, limited his options for retreat.
As planned, Yoriichi arrived at where he wanted. The blood threads that he had set up earlier easily ensnared Yoriichi's hand that was armed.
The threads were extremely tough and extremely thin, or else Yoriichi would have noticed, but he had bought enough time for his attack.
Clenching his fist, he aimed to disarm Yoriichi by going for his wrist, weakening his grip on his sword.
Yoriichi noticed this too late and tried to forcefully retract his hand from the thin threads wrapped around it.
Ginryu successfully disarmed Yoriichi while Yoriichi retaliated by delivering a counter blow to Ginryu's jaw.
Ginryu was just surprised as he wasn't expecting an unarmed attack from Yoriichi.
The attack packed quite the punch, dislocating Ginryu's jaw.
Ginryu didn't want Yoriichi to pick up his sword, so he kicked it further away before resetting his jaw.
"That hurt a bit," Ginryu said to Yoriichi while cracking his jaw.
"Gin," Hikaru and Hikari cried out in worry as they rushed towards him.
Even though they both couldn't follow much of the fight, they could at least tell that none of the fighters had been seriously hurt.
They also didn't think that Ginryu and their father were really trying to hurt each other.
But just now, they clearly witnessed Ginryu being seriously hurt.
To Ginryu, it wasn't serious or worth mentioning, but to the onlookers, it looked like a fatal blow.
"I think we should end it here for today," Ginryu suggested.
He could see that Yoriichi had lost the will to continue fighting as soon as the kids got involved.
"Hmm," Yoriichi replied before picking up his sword and sheathing it. Yoriichi took a deep breath and exhaled the air trapped in his lungs.
The high-paced prolonged battle had gotten to him as he found himself sweating profusely.
He had panicked a bit when Ginryu trapped him after he landed but managed to play it off cool.
Turning back, he glanced at Ginryu and began reflecting on the battle and what could have been done better.
'Monster,' Yoriichi thought while staring at Ginryu.
He knew that Ginryu wasn't giving his best; he could argue the same about himself, but he could tell that both their best were very different.
He had heard that Ginryu could transform into a beast during his time in the Demon Slayer Corps.
His observations from the fight didn't indicate any sort of transformation.
If Ginryu was even or even stronger than him without transforming, then what would happen if he fought the transformed Ginryu?, he pondered.
Yoriichi suddenly felt a tug on his clothes from below, snapping him away from his thoughts.
"Dad, are you hurt anywhere?" Hikari asked her father.
"I am fine," Yoriichi replied with a smile at his daughter concern.
"Yawn, I am going to take a bath before preparing dinner," Ginryu suddenly announced.
"Gin, you're cooking!" Hikari and Hikaru exclaimed in joy. They loved Ginryu's cooking as he made some delicious unusual dishes for them.
"Yes, so you guys clean up too before dinner," Ginryu replied before leaving.
Inuchiyo and Goemon were still in awe of the battle they just witnessed.
They were shocked to know that there was a human this strong, and they were going to learn from him.
Additionally, they pondered, if their progenitor was this strong without transforming, what about them who shared a portion of his blood?
