Finding a suitable dwelling in the heart of the mountain proved to be a relatively easy task for Ginryu.
Once settled, he proceeded to fill the cave he now called home with the items he had pilfered from the nearby town.
However, he didn't stop there; he also embarked on a quest to locate a clean water source in the vicinity.
Despite being a demon and having a heightened immunity to most diseases, Ginryu still took precautions out of habit.
Over the next few days, Ginryu reveled in the tranquility of the mountain.
The air was pure, the breeze refreshing, and he found solace in nature's embrace.
Being an apex predator, he didn't have to worry about most animals posing a threat to him, enabling him to roam freely within the heart of the mountain.
Instead of focusing on physical training, Ginryu dedicated his days to memorization and meditation.
The reason behind his need for memorization stemmed from his desire to expedite and modify the transformation process.
And through meditation, he found his spirit gradually strengthening. Ginryu understood that while these may not seem like significant factors against weaker adversaries, they could become exploitable weaknesses against faster and more formidable opponents.
In addition, he recognized the importance of knowing everything about a creature before attempting to optimize it using his mutated biokinesis skill.
The subsequent weeks were devoted to researching the extent to which he could manipulate his own body.
Unlike Muzan, Ginryu opted to enhance his existing organs rather than develop multiple core organs.
With the assistance of his companion, Lucia, who provided a detailed diagram of his body along with explanations of each organ's functions, he was able to make improvements based on her insights.
It was a challenging endeavour, but the enhancements became evident in his status screen. Although there were limitations due to the level of his skill, Ginryu pushed himself to achieve the best possible outcomes. As a result of his efforts, he even acquired new skills.
Once he had completed his enhancements, Ginryu turned his attention to honing each skill he possessed.
His transformation skill, in particular, had three distinct forms, each offering a unique perspective. The first form involved a complete metamorphosis into a beast, which was then further heightened by assuming a humanoid appearance.
This transformation allowed him to concentrate the power of the beast within a smaller, more agile form, effectively resolving any dexterity and agility issues common to certain creatures.
While not flawless, this form proved highly advantageous.
Ginryu's favourite transformation was the second form, which allowed him to partially transform specific body parts while in his base form.
This enabled him to utilize certain beast abilities without the need to take his clothes apart.
Although the partial transformation only granted a fraction of the stats obtained from a full transformation, the magnitude varied based on the extent of the transformation.
This flexibility proved invaluable for situations where Ginryu preferred not to unleash his full power during combat.
Lastly, there was the final form—the full beast transformation. This form completely metamorphosed Ginryu into the exact likeness of the beast, albeit with size and power enhancements.
This was all dependent of the power of the base form added to that of the beast he was transforming into.
All three forms had their distinct advantages and disadvantages, which Ginryu meticulously worked on resolving.
However, despite his best efforts, there were some weaknesses he couldn't change or reduce.
While he had trained his transformations to be nearly instantaneous, reverting back from any full transformation to his base form took a whopping 10 seconds.
This wouldn't have been a significant problem if it weren't for another weakness he possessed – the inability to use two different beast forms simultaneously.
He always had to return to his base form before taking on a new beast form.
This would have been manageable if Ginryu simply maintained his transformation until all his enemies were taken down or observed his opponents before selecting the most suitable transformation to deal with them.
However, the calorie consumption associated with prolonged transformations posed a problem. This is why he came to prefer the partial transformation, as it was less taxing and had fewer issues to deal with.
And just like that, another six years passed. Ginryu had spent those years alone on the mountain, honing his abilities and training his spirit.
Due to the increase in his spirit stat, he could easily control most of his beast transformations, aside from a few troublesome ones. He had also gained a decent mastery of all his skills and abilities.
During this time, he also discovered that the world he currently resided in didn't contain much dimensional energy, meaning he would have to wait for it to gather at a slow pace before he could move to another world.
His dimensional travel and dimensional home would remain inactive until then, so he couldn't fully utilize their functions yet.
With all these factors in mind, Ginryu found himself resting at the top of a mountain, soaking in the breeze and tranquility of the area.
His mind felt clear, and he had his goals planned out. It was finally time for him to leave the mountain.
Suddenly, the meows of two tiger cubs snapped him out of his thoughts. Ginryu had named them Yin and Yang.
These cubs were found abandoned at the heart of the mountain, close to the body of their mother and deceased siblings.
It was evident that their mother and a bear had fought over territory, but the bear had ultimately won but soon succumbed to its injuries.
Shortly after finding the tiger cubs, Ginryu came across the cub of the deceased bear nearby, lost and bewildered in the bushes. He named the bear cub 'Tora', which meant tiger.
Perhaps due to being alone for a long time, Ginryu decided to take the cubs with him to his home.
Curiosity got the better of him, and he began an experiment, wondering what would happen if he fed them some of his blood.
Careful not to harm the cubs, he would feed them a minuscule portion of his blood, diluted with water, every day to test the effects of his abilities on them.
To his surprise, the experiment yielded interesting results. The cubs stopped aging and became incredibly strong.
Even as the years passed, the cubs remained as cubs, unaffected by time.
Driven by his attachment to them, Ginryu decided to keep them by his side, even though he wasn't entirely sure what was happening inside them.
As the sun began to peek over the horizon, Ginryu gazed up at the sky one more time. Sunrise was just moments away, and the serene beauty of the sight filled him with a mix of anticipation and melancholy.
Soon, he knew he had to return to his cave home nestled beneath the towering mountain and start preparing for his departure.
With a sense of purpose, Ginryu swiftly made his way back to his secluded abode. The cave had been his sanctuary for the last six years, a place of solace and self-discovery.
As he looked around one last time, a bittersweet smile formed on his lips. Memories flooded his mind, each corner of the cave holding a story, a milestone in his journey.
With a deep breath, Ginryu shouldered his custom-made bag.
The bag, crafted with utmost care, was designed to carry the mischievous cubs that had become his companions.
The material used was no ordinary fabric, for it was fashioned from the hide and fur of their mothers.
Delicately, Ginryu gently wriggled the mischievous cubs into the bag, their playful antics temporarily subdued.
With everything set, Ginryu began his trek towards the distant town. It was time to begin his plan. He first needed to make contact with the Ubuyashiki clan.
