Capítulo 12: Chapter 12

While Ginryu writhed in agony from his broken bone, the demon had already reached the center of the village, where Muzan awaited him.

It was a scene so gruesome that Ginryu momentarily forgot about his own pain. Villagers, turned into demons, were being forced to devour their own children, and one particular person caught Ginryu's attention.

It was Hana's mother, consuming what appeared to be her own son. Ginryu recognized the distinct kimono that the boy wore – a gift from himself.

It was also the same kimono he used to wear in his younger years, lovingly made by his late grandmother.

"Is this the boy?" an eerie voice echoed, addressing the demon.

"Yes, Muzan-sama," the demon replied, bowing down and avoiding direct eye contact with Muzan.

With a silent command, the demon placed Ginryu at Muzan's feet. Muzan, his gaze fixed on Ginryu, asked, "What exactly are you, boy? You don't smell human."

Ginryu remained silent, ignoring Muzan, While praying only for a swift death.

His shoulder throbbed from the wound caused by the ice spike, his leg was broken, and he felt nauseous from consuming the Blue Spider Lily before being captured.

Now, on top of all that, he was being psychologically tormented with scenes of unimaginable horror. The sounds of flesh being torn from bones and the putrid stench of blood, urine, and feces assaulted his senses.

The only solace was the wind and snow, which helped dissipate the nauseating odour in various directions.

"So you don't wish to answer. As curious as I am about you, that's not why you are here," Muzan remarked, pausing for effect.

Ginryu remained on the ground, head down, his emotions spiralling out of control as he tried to comprehend how he ended up in this nightmarish situation.

If only he had followed his original plan to leave after his grandmother's death, would he be in this predicament?

While Ginryu contemplated his choices, Muzan grew increasingly displeased with the blatant disrespect shown by the young boy.

He couldn't fathom how a ten-year-old could ignore him. Approaching Ginryu, Muzan lifted his head and locked eyes with him.

Ginryu, now facing Muzan directly, felt an immense wave of fear coursing through his body, causing him to shudder uncontrollably.

Ptui!!

Ignoring his overwhelming fear, Ginryu defiantly spat in Muzan's face, taking a gamble that this act would enrage Muzan and result in a swift death.

From his knowledge of the original series, Muzan was known for his pettiness. Ginryu refused to become a demon, nor did he want Muzan to achieve his desires.

"You're quite brave, I'll give you that. I will have fun with you," Muzan muttered, angry veins bulging on his face. Despite his rage, Muzan inexplicably chose not to end Ginryu's life just yet.

Suddenly, another demon appeared at Muzan's side. "Muzan-sama, we searched the boy's house but couldn't find it," the demon reported anxiously.

Muzan, filled with displeasure upon receiving the news, turned his attention back to Ginryu, his anger evident in his eyes.

"Where is the blue flower that you kept in your house?" Muzan demanded, his voice laced with venom. Ginryu, fully aware of the consequences of speaking up, decided to enrage Muzan further by responding with a condescending smirk.

Ginryu knew that even if he spoke, death was certain, so he chose to remain silent. Muzan, seemingly unaffected by Ginryu's defiance, chuckled darkly.

"You know, I recently learned that the human body is surprisingly durable," Muzan taunted, pausing for a moment before continuing his malicious speech.

"Let's test just how true that is," Muzan sneered before forcefully yanking Ginryu's hair, lifting him off the ground.

Disoriented and confused by Muzan's cryptic words, Ginryu struggled to grasp the situation. Before he could comprehend what was happening, Muzan ordered two demons to hold him in place.

Realizing he had made a grave mistake, Ginryu's heart sank as he understood the fate that awaited him. Muzan, enjoying the fear and desperation in Ginryu's eyes, began to taunt him further.

"Did you know that humans can function with just one of every two organs they possess?" Muzan mused aloud, his voice dripping with sadistic pleasure.

As Ginryu's terror reached its peak, Muzan stretched out his hand towards Ginryu's left ear. Slowly and ruthlessly, he tore it off, reminiscent of tearing a sheet of paper.

Ginryu's screams of agony filled the air, the unbearable pain now a harsh reality. Muzan, seizing the opportunity to further torment Ginryu, forced the severed piece of his ear into the mouth of one of the demon minions beside him.

To his surprise, the demon immediately vomited the gruesome morsel and collapsed to the ground, writhing in pain.

Muzan stood dumbfounded, unable to comprehend what had just transpired.

"I knew there was something unusual about you, but fear not, I will soon make you talk," Muzan declared, his curiosity piqued.

Ginryu, delirious from the excruciating pain, struggled to remain conscious, oblivious to the events occurring around him.

Muzan, undeterred by the demon's unexpected reaction, called for another minion to take its place. With a ruthless fury, Muzan reached for Ginryu's right eye and effortlessly ripped it out, causing another wave of searing pain to course through his body.

Gradually, Muzan peeled away Ginryu's skin, exposing his raw muscles to the chilling air. Ginryu's body convulsed uncontrollably, the culmination of severe blood loss, excruciating agony, intense hypothermia, and a jumble of overwhelming emotions.

Ginryu, hanging on the brink of consciousness, found his voice hoarse from the relentless screams of pain that had now subsided.

His body, drenched in blood, urine, and feces released during the brutal torture session, was a grotesque sight.

Despite his pitiful state, Ginryu summoned whatever strength remained within him and defiantly spat at Muzan, his final act of rebellion before succumbing to unconsciousness.

Muzan, infuriated by Ginryu's audacity, couldn't bring himself to end his life just yet. He needed to know where the elusive blue flower was hidden.

He could have long since turned Ginryu into a demon to get the answer he wanted but chose to torture him first for defying him earlier.

Seeing as Ginryu was now unconscious, Muzan then bit into his own hand and forcefully opened Ginryu's jaw, forcing him to consume his blood.

Meanwhile, within Ginryu's subconscious, something extraordinary was unfolding. His dormant powers began to awaken, triggered by the near-death experience he was enduring.
