Emily sat in the living room, lost in thought, reflecting on the past few months. Her pregnancy was now at nine months, and she was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her baby. She had continued working until her seventh month, but then decided to stay at home and prepare for motherhood.

Robert had been incredibly supportive and loving throughout her pregnancy, but his absence over the past month had been difficult for her. She missed him dearly and was counting down the hours until his return, which was expected that very day.

The visits from her parents and best friend, Camilla, had helped to ease the loneliness, but now that Camilla had left for a trip, Emily was alone in the house, awaiting her parents' promised visit later that day.
