At first it looked like armor, red like the sand of this earth, the areas where skin should have been visible were pitch black, with only a narrow gap for the eyes left by the helmet. 

Apart from its appearance, nothing stood out from this armor, but as soon as the eyes reached it, life glowed under the helmet, in the form of a red ball of light.
