Capítulo 29: Lilli
"Oh that's cool, I just got here last year myself. My names Lilli, what's yours?"
"Sisyphus" I replied to the young girl before pulling out my phaser and stunning her. There were a couple of mutants that saw what I did, but I wasn't worried about them as I pulled out my timer and left before they could do anything.
Once I was back in Ephyra Kingdom I was about to get straight to work before I realized one of the mutants had gone through the portal and followed us back. Looking at the blue monkey stalker I couldn't help but laugh. "Your next couple of moves will tell me if you are courageous or just dumb. If you were worried about this girl, you don't have to be. I will be returning her unharmed in a couple minutes."
"Who are you and why did you abduct her?" Asked the blue monkey.
"Nightcrawler right? I just want to take some blood from Lilli here, I have nothing against Mutants or Lilli.
Nightcrawler looked surprised that I knew who he was, but was more concerned with his fellow mutant. "It doesn't look like Lilli has consented to having her blood drawn. Please give her to me and send us back."
"Either she gives me blood or you do, once I am done taking a blood sample, I will send you both back."
Nightcrawler would have normally just fought and grabbed Lilli back, but he didn't know where he was and was worried he was on the other side of the world or something. If he wanted to get both of them back safely, he felt he should play along. "I'll give you my blood, please sit Lilli down for now."
Shrugging my shoulders, I put the girl down. I wasn't worried about Nightcrawler taking her and running, we were in my Universe, not his. Where would he run? I could always just go back and grab another if they did. Who cares if a couple of mutants are running around in the world until I hunted them down and killed them? Seeing Yuna enter the gate room, I asked her to watch over Lilli and then took Nightcrawler to one of the Ancient labs.
As I took his blood, we talked.
"Who are you exactly and where are we?" asked Nightcrawler.
"My name is Sisyphus and we are in a different Universe than the one you have lived in till now. This universe doesn't have Mutants and even if it did, nobody would dare say anything against mutants in front of me, because I soon will be one as well. Does that appeal to you? Would you rather stay in a world where Humans are always trying to kill you or a world where you are respected regardless of your mutation?"
Nightcrawler looked a bit uncomfortable from hearing my words. "I would be leaving behind my friends and family. Not only that, but you look like a Demon and I am a devout Catholic. No offense if you aren't one."
"If this world is really like that, id like to stay". Said Lilli who had Yuna beside her and had clearly been eaves dropping for a while. She must have woken up shortly after we left her.
Nightcrawler hearing this turned to face her. "What about the people that care about you?"
Lilli crossed her arms and looked away as she spoke. "What friends? What family? I don't have either of those. My adopted grandpa recently died and so I have nobody. If someone did actually miss me, you can tell them I'm out of state or something".
After listening a bit I walked to the center of the room and opened a portal back to the X-men universe. "If you want to go back to your Universe, now's the chance. If you are staying, I'm fine with that as well. It doesn't bother me either way."
Nightcrawler looked at his fellow mutant who had a look of determination on her face and then shook his head. "You don't even know what kind of world this is. It could be a million times worse than the one you left".
Lilli smiled warmly. "Isn't that exciting?"
Nightcrawler looked in my direction before speaking one last time to Lilli. "He kidnapped you, how can you trust that he won't try to harm you when I leave?"
"Does he appear that way to you?" asked Lilli. "He seems desperate like we are, but he's not only letting you go, but also offering us a safe haven".
Hearing this I finally spoke up. "I will expect you to work for me if you stay here of course, I won't ask anything of you that you are uncomfortable with though. Also the portal won't stay open much longer. Please hurry or you both will be stuck here. I won't be opening it again."
Nightcrawler frowned upon hearing my words before looking at Lilli one last time and then finally deciding to walk through the portal. "I hope you don't end up regretting this" He said as he was walking through.
Lilli doubted she would. The whole reason she had initially approached Sisyphus was because she thought he was sexy and brutish and now he's offering to whisk her away to a faraway land away from all of her troubles? What girl her age would say no? The only thing that could top it was if he was also a super wealthy man of some huge company or better yet, royalty. 'haha... yeah right' she thought.
After watching Nightcrawler go through the portal, I went and grabbed the bag I had gotten from the Doctor Who universe. I rummaged through it until I found two of the items I currently needed. Finding the race bank and Nadumi gene manipulator, I got to work on Nightcrawlers blood. Yuna who had been standing nearby noticed I was in 'busy' mode and grabbed Lilli to show her around.
Noticing this, I hurried and asked what had been on my mind before they left. "Lilli before you leave, what is your full name again? and what is your power?"
"I can phase through things and my full name is Lilli Stephens"
I nodded my head and then spoke to Yuna. "Make sure she gets a room and uniform" I was a bit surprised, Lilli Stephens had never joined Xavier's Institute that I knew of. Must have been that specific universe.
