Invoking [Ninja's] only combat skill, my body melded into shadow and disappeared. In truth, I merely blinked to the side to throw off my opponent. I raised my gun and aimed at Aki's lower leg.
"Ugh!"
I pulled the trigger activating the {Counter} reserves [Ninja] had. Unable to evade my 8.6 Blackout subsonic round tore through her calf sending her to the floor. Aki grunted in pain as she quickly did a combat roll and tried to find me.
"[In Plain Sight]."
Trying to reposition, I saw Aki vanish into thin air. Not even her outline existed. The smoke passed by as if nothing was there. However, her sultry voice, echoed out once more.
"Shujin, that was wonderful. But sadly, you took on the wrong opponent."
'If you say so,' I retorted childishly.
"I say this because while I fight in the shadows, I am actually more of a brawler than an assassin. [Karma Strike]!"
"Ah crap…"
