Capítulo 32: Watchful eyes

Silas glanced at the text message he had just received, his attention captured. Swiftly, he rose from his seat in the auditorium, spotting Astra as she made her exit from the stage. Determined, he left the auditorium with a sense of purpose.

With hurried steps, he pursued Astra as she entered the elevator. Silas managed to slip through the closing doors just in the nick of time.

As he stood near the doors, he couldn't help but notice how Astra had retreated to the rear of the elevator, startled. Silas remained poised, aware of the opportunity to have a private conversation with her, hoping to dispel her fear of him.

In a reassuring tone, Silas spoke, "Astra, I won't harm you. I promise Father won't hurt you ever again. I don't want you to live in fear of me forever."

Astra met his gaze briefly before lowering her eyes. Silas continued, "I want things to go back to the way they were."
