Capítulo 50: 50. Provoked the Devil

"Hei! Is this Eleanor's command? If the Grand Duke finds out, you'll all be finished! Get me out of here!"

Sofia felt that this person must be acting on Eleanor's orders.

Who else would do this, moments after the Grand Duke proposed to her, if not his wife?

Sofia tried to plead with the guard, using a slightly begging tone, hoping the guard's logic would kick in.

"I won't report you to the Grand Duke! Choose your master wisely. Eleanor is about to be finished, the Grand Duke will kick that cheap slut out of her position. So, think about it... who else would replace Eleanor if not me? I'll promote you if you help me! Please, get me out!"

"Don't mention her name with your filthy mouth."

She was startled by the hoarse voice.

It wasn't the guard's voice in front of her.

She couldn't see who was speaking because the light in her cell didn't reach the face of the man.
