Night fell upon Konoha Village, casting a solemn atmosphere over the Uchiha Clan's domain. The ongoing state of war had led to a frugal and challenging life for the villagers, who now faced an early curfew.
The usually deserted streets were now eerily empty. Despite the relatively optimistic outlook on Konoha's battle situation, a serious and tense inspection was maintained to prevent riots and accidents.
However, within the typically tranquil Konoha Village, the Uchiha district was ablaze with light and noise on this particular night, spiraling into a scene of chaos. Numerous Uchiha clansmen brandished torches, some adorned in linen and filial piety, flooding the streets as they fervently called out the name of Uchiha Kagami.
Most of the Konoha Guards were under Uchiha's influence, and even they teetered on the brink of losing control. The Anbu members were visibly overwhelmed by the tumultuous scene.
Uchiha's commotion had sent ripples of unrest throughout Konoha, affecting nearby families who feared potential accidents.
"Lord Uchiha Kagami-sama must be avenged!"
"Kumogakure must pay for the blood debt!"
"Lord Uchiha Kagami's legacy will endure!"
The chants echoed through the night as young Uchiha clansmen, the next generation, mourned Uchiha Kagami. He was their idol, the embodiment of their loyalty to Konoha and a supporter of the Hokage faction. His sacrifice dealt a profound blow to these young Uchihas.
However, Uchiha Kagami viewed his actions as a sacrifice for Konoha, and the ostentatious gestures of the youth were, in essence, a tribute to his accomplishments.
In facing these impassioned individuals, many Anbu ninjas were on edge, reluctant to admonish them too sternly. Among them, there were also familiar faces.
Uchiha Fumito, the second elder and a representative of the dove faction, wore a somber expression. Holding Uchiha Kagami's armor, he narrated tales of the fallen hero's bravery, condemning Kumogakure's sins. In doing so, he subtly assumed the role of a leader for these impassioned Uchiha "youth in anger."
"These individuals are going too far! It's no wonder Tobirama-sama keeps a close watch on them. With Tobirama-sama absent, it seems they've grown bolder!"
An Anbu, shrouded in shadows, angrily removed his mask, poised to confront the Uchiha clansman with the garrison.
"Heh, the guards and the Uchiha—they're practically clan. Can't rely on the Uchiha. Just look at the mess they're causing here!"
Another Anbu snorted disdainfully, echoing the sentiments of frustration.
"Captain, what do you think?"
A female Anbu stabbed the silent man next to her.
"The Uchiha clan is putting pressure on the village and the Hokage."
The Captain of the Anbu looked at the clamoring and chaotic crowd, shaking his head as if the tense atmosphere were as ridiculous as foam.
In his opinion, the current Uchiha clan couldn't have any ulterior motives, not due to anything else, but simply because of their lack of strength.
The second elder, who had always maintained a good relationship with Konoha, dared to lead those young Uchihas to the streets. This was probably not just to pay homage to Uchiha Kagami.
The riot was only on the surface; the real essence was likely that the second elder wanted to negotiate for significant rights from the village through the sacrifice of Uchiha Kagami!
The dark Anbu commander had a keen eye. He could see no sorrow in Uchiha's sad expression; rather, there was a hint of excitement.
Tobirama accepted the younger generation of major factions as his disciples, a way to win them over. Now that their clan head, Uchiha Kagami, sacrificed for the village, the Uchiha clan believed they deserved additional benefits.
In the Captain's view, the Uchiha clan was merely using the situation to seize power and prestige.
In the Uchiha houses, many elderly clan members observed the scene with cold eyes, indifferent to it all.
After taking a long sip of tea, an elder Uchiha closed the window with a gloomy gaze, blocking out the indignant voices of condemnation.
Inside the room, several elderly individuals had faces as serious as water.
Upon closer inspection, scars or disabilities were visible on these old Uchihas to varying degrees. They were all ninjas from the older generation.
Though all Uchiha, they seemed incompatible, as if residing in two different worlds.
"Big brother, the clansmen outside have been shouting for three hours. Konoha's ninjas have guarded us, but they remain watchful."
In the Uchiha clan, in a magnificent mansion, an old man emitting a cold aura spoke to another old man seated opposite him.
"Hehe, why should such a display of spirit make them nervous? It's as if we were back in those times..."
The old man on the opposite side smiled lightly, yet his eyes revealed deep loss and unwillingness.
A scar in the corner of his right eye resembled a hideous centipede. This old man was the great elder of the Uchiha clan who truly held power, Uchiha Takumi.
On the other side, the old man who seemed to have lingered in the shadows was his younger brother, Uchiha Ryota.
"Brother, do you think Uchiha can succeed?"
Uchiha Ryota pondered and asked.
"He has succeeded."
Uchiha Takumi said lightly, "Whether Konoha will yield to public pressure, whether Senju Tobirama will let go of his suspicions and rejections towards us. Uchiha Fumito, close to the village, has completely replaced Uchiha Kagami today and become the spiritual leader of the younger generation of Uchihas."
Uchiha Takumi's eyes were gloomy. "Unlike Uchiha Kagami, that conniving individual, Uchiha Fumito truly has the power of those young people in his hands."
"If we can avoid conflict with Konoha, let Fumito take on the role of the Uchiha Kagami. With Tobirama's support, everyone can live in peace."
Uchiha Takumi lifted his head, and a pair of scarlet, turbid Three Tomoe Sharingan peered out of the window coldly, resembling those of an old beast.
"If one day, Senju Tobirama leads us as his sword, and Uchiha, as the new belief of these young people, pushes them arbitrarily, they will be greatly disappointed in the village. They might turn back in an instant and become a force against Konoha.
After all, we Uchiha face the things we love and then smash it and obliterate, from love to hate, the power of the eyes bursting forth, but it is amazing.
These young people who have never experienced the Warring States period are truly ignorant and naive."
"Hehe! Big brother, you foresaw it well, making Uchiha Fumito always pretend to be close to the village."
Uchiha Ryota said with a smile, "Unfortunately, the third elder, before he died, didn't understand that this was your arrangement, eldest brother."
"Hehe, I'm just ensuring self-protection. Let's not talk about it. Tobirama can no longer treat us equally, even if we don't have any power at all!"
Uchiha Takumi lowered his head, a bleak expression on his face.
"For fifty years, we Uchiha haven't awakened a Mangekyō Sharingan of clansmen for half a century!
Someone finally gained the power of the Uchiha Madara brothers, but it's said to be a guy who left the clan back then.
Funny, I have no impression of that Uchiha Dragon at all.
Our only asset can't be in our own hands. What do you think we can use to compete with Senju clan? What are you going to fight Tobirama with?!"
Takumi Uchiha became more and more excited as he spoke, even roaring. This is his anger and indifference; this is the grief and anger that hates iron for not turning into steel!
"Haha, it's really surprising. I asked those clansmen, but no one knew about the so-called Uchiha dragon.
However, the power of the Mangekyō Sharingan can't be faked; Tobirama can't admit his mistake. With his ability, he probably won't use this to entertain us."
Uchiha Ryota's eyes were profound, and he suddenly looked directly at Uchiha Takumi.
"Our strength is not enough, even with that Uchiha dragon who appeared out of nowhere.
However, what if Kumogakure was added?"
