Capítulo 17: Jason's POV [1]
I am Jason Thombre. I originally did not belong to the modern world, but a space-time portal opened, and I got sucked into it. According to the ancestors, the space-time portal is a very dangerous portal of all. There are very slim chances of survival after being sucked into it.
That day, I just went through a dangerous battle and was going to recuperate when the portal opened. I thought l would die, but l woke up in another person's body. I did not have any memories of him, and no one seems to know about him.
I checked my body and came to realize that we looked the same. But this body was ten years younger than me. After trying to chant a spell, l came to a realization that my powers were gone. Before coming into this world, l was just a fourth-level magician.
I did not regret that my powers were gone, because, that meant l could try another method to practice which l couldn't practice in my past life. The most amazing thing was that after one week of arriving here and adapting to this world, I realized l also bought something in this world with me.
It was a book. A book named 'Megacians'. At that moment l was ecstatic because this forbidden book was said to have disappeared, from my original world. This book helped me recreate my body and wield more power than my previous life.
It took me just one year to reach the fifth stage with the help of this book. It was because it contained information about all rare things or things that no longer existed in my original world. My progressive strength and future growth made me proud of myself.
The things which l couldn't do in my original world, l was free to do it here. Because in this world people no longer believed in magic, so l could do anything, l wanted to become more powerful and needed to do, something about it. While searching for information about some rare things, l came across a forbidden technique, which could make me a ninth-level magician in one fell swoop.
My desire for power was growing stronger and stronger. I wanted to go back to my original world after becoming a ninth-level magician and show all those people who laughed at me for my mediocrity, how much powerful l was from them. It was written in this book that only magicians above the eighth-level could open a space-time portal, and it may not send you to your destination. But l still wanted to try it.
After some research, I learned from the book that, 'Only the people having, THE SWORD PHYSIQUE and THE MOON PHYSIQUE could open a space-time portal, that too only after they have reached the ninth level or above that'. It was written in the precaution that both physiques should be present to open the portal.
Two years, it took me two years to find a person with the 'Sword Physique'. His name was Stefan. He just completed his graduation. I thought if l cannot find a person with the 'Moon Physique' then l will occupy Stefan's body and refine it to me in my cultivation.
But, seems like God was compensating me for all the abuse l suffered in my previous life. While l was going back after investigating Stefan, l bumped into a young boy. The boy was severely malnourished. I roughly grabbed his thin arms and tempted him with magic power. While introducing the power, l used a low-level spell to control the mind. This spell would not have succeeded if that boy would have his guard up against me.
It was very easy to control him as he was very timid and by luring him into this, l wanted to kill Stefan. He did not know, but l knew that he was born with THE MOON PHYSIQUE. This physique was so powerful that it could resurrect the owner of the body once.
I wanted him to kill Stefan and then occupy Stefan's body, gaining THE SWORD PHYSIQUE. The Moon's Physique was known to be directly related to the soul of a person. After he occupies Stefan's body, l will eat his soul and use a forbidden technique to merge my soul and Stefan's body.
This way, if l am not able to survive the space-time disturbance, then l can be reborn in this body and cultivate again with the help of the book.

But all my preparation got ruined, because of a simple, silly mistake. The low-level spell that did not get into my eyes ruined my three years of hard work and painstaking efforts. l did not know at all that because of that spell, Lucas created a second personality. I should just say that the other personality was always there, but it was dormant in Lucas's body until the moment l used that spell.
It absorbed the power of my spell and grew stronger. He gave himself a new name, 'Louis'. He was Lucas's dark personality. The reason behind Lucas's cheerfulness towards life despite having a difficult childhood was because that personality used to absorb all of Lucas's dark thoughts.
The moment Stefan died in his conspiracy, l decided to take that chance to eat him. It was because Louis was not like Lucas at all. He had a strong guard against everyone, even l was not spared from that. lf, l did not take that opportunity to eat his soul, then he would grow stronger and stronger, and it would become hard for me to eat his soul.
I did so many experiments with my own body that my face became hideous. It felt as if countless faces were glued together to make one face. All those people l killed, in search of the special physique, came back haunting me. I was able to seal them with the help of the forbidden book in my shadow. But, l could only do so much with my fifth-level power.
