Capítulo 5: The New World Unveiled: Secrets and Revelations
As Stefan stepped outside his house, he was enveloped in a surreal atmosphere, as if he had stepped into a fairy tale. The urban fantasy world around him seemed to come alive with vibrant colors and magical energy.
"What are these colorful balls of light?" Stefan asked the system, marvelling at the spectacle.
"These are 'Auras'," the system explained. "They aid in cultivating magic and sword aura, essential for magicians and swordsmen. Each person releases aura from their wands or swords during sparring or combat, indicating their level. The 'Auras' you see help individuals harness the cultivated aura stored within their bodies."
Stefan frowned, feeling a sense of unease. "Why do I feel different? Is this experience common for everyone?" he queried.
"Host, one of your privileges is the ability to absorb 2–3 types of aura according to your current potential. Through consistent training, you can surpass your body's limits and absorb even more 'auras' as your potential grows.
Now, let's head into town. But first, we need to disguise your distinctive white hair. People with such hair are often recognized as having high magic potential and are taken by the higher-ups. We'll blend in as ordinary tourists. This way, if the higher-ups spot us, they'll hesitate to act rashly, assuming you're either a powerful magician or someone with a mysterious background", introduced the system.
"I need to build my strength quickly. Right now, I'm vulnerable. Establishing friendly relations with the townsfolk is crucial. I might need their help to complete the system quests," Stefan explained to the system after some careful consideration.
"You're quite clever, Host! Now all we need to do is introduce you to them and offer your crafts as a gesture of friendship," the system exclaimed.
"Yes, and perhaps they can share some insights that aren't in your database. After all, we're both newcomers here, and there's much we have yet to discover about this world," Stefan concluded.
"Host, how did you come to that conclusion? I never mentioned having limited information in my database," the system questioned.
"That's because most of the information about this world was introduced to me by you. But you don't have data on the mysterious SS and SSS level holes, or details about Rank 9 and 10 magicians," Stefan explained patiently. "So, I assumed you might not have the full picture of this world."
"Marvellous, Host! I was just pondering how to broach this topic with you," exclaimed the system.
"By the way, entering this world marks the beginning of our journey anew. Even though I can't recall how I died, having you by my side in this new realm is comforting. Let's give you a name, shall we? Calling you 'system' feels too formal; it's as if we're colleagues rather than companions. How about 'Helios'?" suggested Stefan.
"Wow! That sounds wonderful, with an ancient charm to it. Host, does my name hold any special meaning?" inquired Helios with curiosity.
"Helios means 'sun, sunlight.' In Latin, it also signifies 'other, another, different.' In Greek mythology, Helios was a god adorned with the halo of the sun. Considering, you're like a rising sun illuminating this other world for me," Stefan explained warmly, his smile brightening.
Heli, feeling a tad embarrassed, interjected, "That's not entirely accurate, Host. Please stop teasing me!" His awkwardness only made Stefan chuckle more, finding his shyness endearing.
Unbeknownst to Stefan, as he stepped out of his house, he was being observed by someone. They noticed him conversing with the air as if there were unseen entities present.
