KILLIAN’S POV

Saturday came and I went to work since I had to clear the backlog after being away for a week. Linus was home with Amanda and Caylan and when the phone buzzed I knew it was either of them calling to find out where I was.

“Killian, are you coming for dinner?” Amanda asked.

“No, darling, I have to work late today. Forgive me,” I explained apologetically.

I could tell he was pouting and then I heard Caylian demand that she hand the phone to him because he wanted to speak to me.

“Killian, let's do lunch tomorrow.” Caylian’s voice came through the phone.

“That's fine,” I responded.

“Bro, why do you sound tired? Can't you just delegate the work to someone else?’

“Brat. Not everything can be delegated,” I muttered then I heard Amanda yelling and it seemed like Caylian was running and then the sound of a door being shut echoed through the receiver.

“Killian, why is Maurice suddenly interested in you? He asked me if you were home this week,” Caylian whispered.
