Capítulo 34: Astonishment: Strong!(I)
When he turned left, he was thinking that he would avoid the creature but it turns out the water snake was not willing to leave. It had been sitting by the shore all the time after killing some of the creatures that were located at the very edge of the waters. When it sensed Cheng Shan's arrival, even his decision to head right did not seem to dissuade it. Sinking into the water, it started to follow him and was indeed treating him like some prey, as such it couldn't just let him escape again.
Cheng Shan on the other hand, seemed to be more or less unaware or he just threw the issue of the creature out of his mind and was looking for some energy source, and the animals in the forest were his goals. His presence and aura compared to before seemed to have reduced, but that did not mean that he was weaker in any way.
Once he had recovered in energy, he planned to go back to that place and use the radioactive energy to try and see if the basic sword practice could go further.
Unlike other practices, the basic sword practice did not seem to have been listed as entry at all and he always assumed that it was just a body control art. In a way allowing him to improve his control over strength, but he was curious of what would happen if it managed to take a step further. Once he tried it, he would know the outcome.
Moving fast in the forest, he seemed to be able to hear further than before, and even his eyesight seemed to see all the way to about 200 meters away clearly. In this way, it was very much simpler for him to move in this terrain and the reason he avoided the water, was to avoid trouble. In the current state, he was certain that he was able to continue improving and since that is the case, he would need to have a large supply of meals.
Once he got himself sorted in this aspect, he would only need to spend less time practicing, but he was aware that this would not work on the Five Animal Boxing unless he had observed the creatures again, like the way he gained insights on the deer. The others can be found as long as he puts in the effort after all The world was so huge with many things, and the path he had walked required him to not just copy moves from the technique and repeat them, rather he would need to verify on himself based on his physique.
It was also the reason it was referred to as proficiency since he was adapting the moves based on himself, and the only way to accomplish it was by observing the animals. In a way, it could be seen as recreating the martial arts to fit himself, and once done completely, he would have reached the very limit of proficiency. In the same way, perhaps the basic Sword technique did not have such a process because he was practicing it by himself.
The effect even seemed more perfect with some push from the radioactive energy allowing him to completely reach the limit. He was more interested in improving it, and the changes that had happened to his body were also something that he had attributed to it too. He assumed that most of the contribution came from it.
With this kind of thinking, he was obviously motivated and not even in the mood to leave this place and go back home. He was already sure that only by improving himself would he even think about leaving or to say it in another way, once the effect of the radioactive energy became useless, he would walk away.
But when he was shuttling through the forest, he could hear some movement with his sharp senses, and it came from the right side, and thus he turned his head looking into the massive green waters in the distance thoughtfully, before a crazy idea seemed to be bred in this head. But he could not seem to manage to throw it out of his head no matter how much he shook it off. He was in fact imagining the energy content present in that creature, after all, it was almost about ten meters, in length.
In the beginning, when he met it, he almost thought it was some dragon, but the idea was expelled from his head instantly as he could clearly see it for the snake it was. The moment he moved another kilometer, he could see prey up ahead, but he seemed to have lost interest in them. He wanted to very much try out his new strength, but he was not at his peak thought. This was pretty much obvious to him, but the level of strength he had and could unleash was more than before.
"Let's just try out how strong my current strength has reached, Anyway this creature will keep pestering me. If it can be taken down, that would be a good thing." While he thought of this he diverted and headed straight towards the waters. This time his speed seemed to accelerate. He also had some thoughts in his head, but he pushed them to the side, which included the hesitation to confront the snake. When that happened, he seemed to have experienced some kind of subtle change he did not realize, but this spirit increased slightly.
When he arrived on the water's surface, he stomped heavily before taking more steps ahead faster.
"Boom!"
The area he stomped seemed to have been affected in some way, that the water actually sunk into a bowl-shaped ring, and under the ring, a massive creature seemed to be hit hard by the force, but it was not injured, it just seemed to become furious.
Even with the movement being disturbed, the creatures locked onto Cheng Shan moving towards him fast. He, on the other hand, was much more agile than before, and he would just use less skills and energy to avoid it. He felt different at this time, as the water surface was not different from the land.
"Is this the leakless body spoken off in the fictional works or is my control of the body reached such a high level." He was marveling at this, while looking at the shadow under the water.
