58.9% Villain Support Agency ( On Hiatus ) / Chapter 86: Carl Opens Up

Capítulo 86: Carl Opens Up

Carl and Carla entered their penthouse apartment, where Angela and Isabella were already waiting for them.

"Hey, so I guess you two-"

Before Carl could even finish his sentence, Isabella had already gotten up and slapped him with full force, causing his face to jerk to the side as a shockwave spread around them.

"You put the entire team and didn't even notify me, not even telling me or Angela of what you were planning on doing?!" Isabella shouted with her eyes red.

"What the hell is wrong with you, why the hell would you do such a thing, have you gone insane or something?!"

"You're a handler, you're not a villain, I don't care what it says on your record, you are a handler, being the leader of your team is already stretching it thin, but you want to go forth and participate in such dangerous missions?!"

"And you even targeted Silver Strike, what is the matter with you, do you wish to have an SS-grade hero on your tail, one that is willing to do whatever it takes to get revenge?!"

Carl continued being silent as Isabella continued shouting at him. Even Angela and Carla were surprised by how aggressive and angry Isabella had become. Even though her personality had changed after the first night all four of them had spent together, Carla thought that her ability would still influence her a bit, but this … this was completely different from what she imagined.

'Are her feelings for Carl this strong, or is this something else, maybe her ability is now doing the opposite?' Carla thought as finally, after 5 full minutes of shouting at Carl, Isabella stopped before hugging him and putting her head on his chest.

Carl sighed before hugging her back, as well as motioning for Angela to come as well so he could hug her as well.

"It was something I had to do, not because of the VSA, but because of myself," Carl said in a low tone before he sighed and glanced down at the two beautiful women who had obviously been under a lot of stress because of what happened.

"Let's sit down first, alright?"

Carl then proceeded to sit down with all three of them before telling them what happened in the past. He had never before opened himself up to anyone, never telling them of what happened to him in the past, but with the three girls in front of him, he knew that there was no need for secrets anymore.

Angela and Isabella widened their eyes as they heard how when he was only a little boy, Carl had personally seen his father's head get cut off by Golden Strike, the father of Silver Strike. They heard of what happened to him in the past, how he and his mother had moved time and time again as the news of his father being an A-grade villain who had been killed was spread.

They heard how each time they moved, only a short period of time later, they would be forced to move again as people would suddenly find out about what happened.

He would be bullied, as would his mother, she would also lose her job and he would frequently be kicked out of school because of that.

His mother's suicide made the two all tear up, as did Carl's story of what happened next, how he bounced from one foster family to another.

The sole reason Carl had taken the mission was so he could kill Silver Strike, the son of the man who killed his father, and make the latter feel the pain he had felt.

As Carl shared his painful past with Isabella, Angela, and Carla, tears welled up in their eyes. The depth of his suffering and the burden he had carried all these years were overwhelming. They listened intently, their hearts aching for the young boy who had endured so much.

Isabella's anger had dissipated, replaced by empathy and sadness. She reached out and gently held Carl's hand, offering silent support. Angela, too, placed a comforting hand on his shoulder, silently letting him know that he wasn't alone. Carla, who had seen a side of Carl few others had, understood the deep-seated desire for revenge that had driven him to take the dangerous mission.

As they sat together, sharing their feelings and experiences, Carl's penthouse apartment became a sanctuary of understanding and love. The emotional weight that had burdened him for years began to lift, replaced by a sense of belonging and acceptance.

"But one thing bothers me, how were people able to find out about your father each time you moved, weren't you protected by the government, shouldn't your personal information have been sealed?" Isabella asked Carl as she the protocol when a member of a family turned out to be a villain.

The family would always be protected, no matter what.

"Yes, the only reason they would be able to learn that is if somebody from the government leaked the info out, I knew that for a while now, but I was powerless to try and find the person who did it, now, however, I am planning on doing so," Carl said with fire present in his eyes.

"Golden Strike killed my father, and I shall have my revenge over that, but the person that drove my mother to despair and caused her to take her own life is still out there, completely hidden from me."

Isabella's eyes narrowed in determination as she processed Carl's words. She understood the depth of his pain and the burning need for closure. "We'll help you find the person responsible for leaking that information."

Carl nodded at Isabella. He actually knew that with Carla's high standing in the VSA, it wouldn't be too hard to find that person, but he didn't want to rely on her once again to get his revenge, which was why he didn't ask her to do so.

Carla knew very well what Carl was thinking, so she didn't even offer to help him locate the person who leaked the information. She knew that Carl could be quite proud, and she respected that.

About 2 hours passed after Carl had arrived back in the apartment, and he and the girls simply stayed in the living room, talking and watching some TV. After what had happened today, none of them were in the mood to do anything and only wished to relax and spend the night acting lazy.

'Hey, aren't the rewards for finishing the mission a bit too low?'

[ No, you had to rely on outside help to finish it and you killed zero heroes, which is why even though the mission is considered to be finished, the rewards are as low as they are. ]

'Alright, alright, it's better than nothing I guess.'

[ Of course, compared to the effort you had to put to escape, the rewards are quite good to be honest. ]

'So, I'm an A-grade villain now, when are you going to tell me more about the VSA and that weird power ranking you told me about?'

Carl was suddenly thinking about when he got the rewards from Isabella joining the VSA and how he was able to get the advanced manual. He had been using the manual all this time, and the effects had been obvious as it taught him how to control the flux inside his body with better proficiency and improve the control he had over his body as well.

He remembered the two weird 'levels' that the system mentioned.

The 'Recruit' and the 'Warrior' levels.

[ No, the time is still not right, the host is still too weak to find out more. ]

The system spoke in a robotic voice which irked Carl a bit. He was annoyed that he knew something that felt very important, but he was only given a peek into it. He wasn't allowed to know more or to know what exactly it was.

[ When the time is right, the host will be given the information, but not before. ]

It was as if somebody was teasing him, giving him a glimpse of something he wanted, then making it disappear and telling him to be patient.

'You really know how to annoy people, don't you?'

[ Only those that irk me as much as you do. ]

"I need a shower," Carl said as he stood up from the couch and walked over to the shower.

Angela and the others merely glanced at him before looking back at the TV and watching their show as Carl got under the shower and let the cold water fall on top of him, making him calm down.

During the two hours he was sitting with the girls, he was actually only thinking about Silver Strike, as well as the person who had leaked the information that led to his mother's suicide. He had masked his emotions in order not to worry the girls, but inside, his fury was raging as wildfire.

"I'll find you, I swear that I will, and I will make you wish you were never born in this world," Carl said in a low voice as a crazed smile appeared on his face.
