Capítulo 28: Aphrodite

Aphrodite was wearing a gorgeous white see through gown that revealed most of her body as she strutted down the aisle of ogling men. Saliva figuratively and literally poured from the side of their mouth as she smiled seductively at them, obviously leaving a long-lasting effect on their souls.

Her gorgeous silver hair was put in a messy bun, and adorning her head was a diamond tiara sitting on her hair that matched her silver hair. Her lips were covered with dark red lipstick, making her look extremely beautiful and somewhat intimidating. She was absolutely gorgeous and made me feel a little insecure.

I almost felt a pang of jealousy when I saw how everyone looked at her including Hades. He was smiling. Not broadly but he was smiling faintly at her.

I didn't feel jealous because after all the goddess was the deity of love and beauty.

"Look at you!"

"The dress suits you perfectly!" Aphrodite hailed as soon as she was a few feet away from me.

"You think?" I curved my hips a bit to the side posing with my lips pouted.

"Of course! Come on now, you've got to give me a better view of my creative genius"

I do as I was told, doing a small dance as I turn around, while the goddess gives a satisfying 'mh mhm' at what she was seeing. I turned to face her and laughed.

"I love this dress. Martha wasn't kidding when she said you are the best there is."I praised.

"She said that? Well, now I've got to meet with her." Aphrodite grinned. She looked at my hand and noticed I carried two glasses filled with wine. Well the other, barely, since I started sipping it.

"You've got a date already?"

Hades scoffed, and I frowned, displeased. Aphrodite turned to look at Hades who was at my side, and moved over to Hades as if he just noticed her presence.

"Oh… Hades! Didn't see you there. Is the glass of wine for you, are you her date?"

"No!" We both said in unison. Hades sends a glare in my direction, probably because he wanted to be the only one to reject the question. Glad I bruised his ego.

"Well then," Aphrodite said, catching my attention and making Hades break his glare. "Well, I can be your date and take that off your hands. I hope you don't mind, Hades?" She raised a question, giving him a knowing look.

"Certainly, she's not really my type anyway so do as you please. I'll go have a drink with Ares and Zeus."

At the mention of Zeus, my ears perked up. I had hoped to meet him so I can ask after Madison. I know she must be feeling neglected especially if Zeus tells her I'm fine wherever I am. I know I came to find solutions to my issues… but I certainly will never forget my friend in the process.

"May I?" Aphrodite questioned with her hands stretched. She was asking for permission before she took my hands. I saw a glint of fear in her eyes, but with her trusting smile, I doubt she felt any fear at all.

I was surprised she asked at all. I came here assuming they would all be afraid and wary of me or at least scrutinize me but here the goddess was asking me to dance with her. I exhaled before taking her hand. Our hands intertwined and she smiled sweetly at me before leading me away onto the dance floor. I momentarily turn to look at Hades, just to meet his dark gaze on me. I could feel blood rush to my cheeks before I tear my gaze away from him.

Another CHAPTER! I'm sorry it's short... But I'll make the next chapter a worthy read. It will be a combination of Hade's pov’ and Aurora’s. I hope it will be a worthy read.
