Capítulo 406: Chapter 406: The Future Rainbow Dragons

Noah Continent, the Extreme Northern Ice Fields.

A blizzard was sweeping across this barren, indifferent land. Countless creatures of the ice field hid in their nests, hibernating with hungry stomachs, waiting for the storm to pass. Only the upper-tier ice field hunters had the ability to roam freely in the blizzard.

However, hunting was not easy when the lower-tier ice field creatures did not venture out.

Even white dragons or frost giants, the top predators of the extreme northern ice fields, rarely went out to hunt during blizzard conditions, mostly staying in their territorial nests to rest.

But there were always exceptions.

A white dragon, seemingly just reaching adulthood, was fleeing desperately through the blizzard, relentlessly pursued by a group of frost giants.

The dense snowflakes could blur the vision of creatures, making it difficult to pursue, but a trail of blood, dripping steadily and carrying a strong dragon scent, continuously betrayed the white dragon's whereabouts.

A lone white dragon, due to its not particularly strong abilities and not very clever mind, was mostly at a disadvantage when encountering groups of giants.

This was a common situation in the polar regions of various worlds.

After some time, the white dragon, exhausted, stopped on the side of an undulating glacier.

Just as it rested for a moment, it heard the ever-present roaring of the giants.

Swoosh, swoosh, swoosh! Weapons formed from ice crystals, boulders, and blades hurled by the giants rained down fiercely on the white dragon's location, smashing the unprepared dragon into a bloody mess.

As the frost giants surrounded it, the white dragon showed a look of despair.

"It's a pity it's already an adult white dragon; it can't be tamed as a mount."

"No matter, its scales can be used to make armor, its bones ground into weapons, and its skull can serve as a trophy to decorate our territory," the giants chatted and critiqued the white dragon.

Just then, the blizzard seemed to hit the pause button, suddenly stopping.

The giants were briefly stunned, then looked up alertly, gazing at the sky where the anomaly occurred. Almost every creature on the entire Noah Continent, no, the entire ice field, sensed a terrifyingly powerful presence and instinctively looked towards the source of the change.

In their field of vision, it seemed as though a phantom river was stirring up faint ripples.

The intangible, formless river water gathered and swept up, forming three dragon-shaped silhouettes, which then transitioned from ethereal to solid, manifesting as three enormous dragons that blotted out the sky.

Two of them looked nearly identical.

They bore scales of a dreamlike, multicolored hue, which looked exceptionally stunning against the backdrop of the flying snow, each about sixty meters long, far surpassing ordinary ancient dragons.

But the one that caught the most attention was another silver dragon.

The silver dragon was noticeably larger. Compared to the already giant dragons, it appeared much more slender and small, and the three pairs of imposing horns on its head were distinctly unique, resembling a sovereign among true dragons.

"That made quite a stir."

"Still not quite familiar with the power of light from rainbow dragons."

Garon, with a thought, calmed the turbulent river of time, and the paused blizzard began to fall again, accumulating on the ground.

Normally, Garon's time transport would be silent when reaching another anchor point, unless someone happened to see his physical body leaving the river of time; otherwise, it was not easy to detect his presence.

This time was a bit unexpected.

Because he was transporting two rainbow dragons along with trying out the combined power of different legendary dragon species, Garon once again integrated the power of light from rainbow dragons during the transport, experiencing a unique sensation of three dragons' minds as one with Isaac and Chris.

"Where is this?"

The two rainbow dragons looked around, their gaze falling on the icy landscape dressed in silver, then curiously asked.

"Noah Continent, a typical primary material world," Garon replied, looking around.

He took a deep breath of the cold air from the extreme northern ice fields, the scenery bringing a sense of familiarity.

After all, it was where Garon was born, where he had experienced his weakest period. Although it had been a long time since he had left the extreme northern ice fields, this place held a special meaning for Garon.

"Ah, such a small primary material world."

"It's not even as big as one of the satellite worlds of the Alphatia Empire."

"I can see the barriers of the plane boundary with one glance," Isaac remarked as he looked into the distance.

The smaller the primary material world, the more oppressive it felt to beings like them at the level of demigods, as if a lion had entered a small glass bottle and a little exertion might shatter this bottle.

"The initial avatar of the primal sun god almost shattered Noah Continent,"

 Garon thought to himself.

With his current strength, if he wished, just by activating his divine form and showing his full glory, the surrounding space would likely fracture, and the plane barriers would break apart. If it went on for too long, it could lead to the collapse of the entire Noah Continent.

"Some native legendary creatures have noticed us," Chris blinked and said.

Due to the commotion caused by their arrival, it was not surprising that they were noticed.

However, the three legendary dragons didn't care much.

In the small Noah Continent, legends were the top-tier strong beings, with not even one creature close to a demigod existing. Any high mage from the Alphatia Empire could sweep across Noah Continent, not to mention them, true demigod dragons. All creatures of Noah Continent combined were not enough to challenge them.

Meanwhile, Garon glanced down and saw the white dragon being surrounded by frost giants.

Noticing this terrifying dragon's gaze, the frost giants froze under the dragon's majesty, for the first time feeling the extreme cold of the ice fields. The opposing gaze was like the biting cold of winter.

Without any warning, under the terrified gaze of the white dragon, several frost giants suddenly collapsed into dust, disappearing into the snowy backdrop of the extreme northern ice fields with the chilling wind.

"Thank. Thank you, elder silver dragon, for saving my life," the white dragon said quietly.

After seeing that the three enormous dragons in the sky showed no intention of addressing him further, it quickly and silently departed, but the events of today and the images of the three huge true dragons were likely to be imprinted in its mind forever, unforgettable.

"Huh," Chris looked at Garon with some surprise.

"What's wrong?"

"Is something amiss?" Garon asked, his gaze shifting.

Isaac, watching the white dragon's departing figure, said, "I didn't expect you, Garon, to help that white dragon and personally take action to kill a few small frost giants."

If it were them, they would generally be too lazy to lend a hand.

"After all, it's of the same kind. If I have the capability, helping out is not a big deal," he was known as the Lord of the Dragon Court, the Eternal Dragon of Time, revered and supported by billions of true dragons, naturally, he would offer protection to his kind.

"Belonging to the dragon kind, the overall prosperity of the dragon race, as legendary dragons, we also gain certain indirect benefits."

"Isaac, Chris, don't be too averse to other true dragons of our kind. Providing help to the dragon race at the appropriate time is also beneficial to legendary dragons themselves," Garon advised the two rainbow dragons.

Isaac and Chris exchanged glances, thoughtful, but neither responded immediately.

Due to the vast difference, it was difficult for them to consider ordinary true dragons as their own kind.

Garon did not persuade further.

After all, the mere existence of legendary dragons was itself a deterrent; even if they did nothing, they actually provided invisible protection to the dragon race.

"Moreover, the transition in life levels is for following one's desires. I wanted to kill those giants, so I did. If I set restrictions on myself, not to overpower the weak, then it's better not to progress at all and just tread water," Garon said calmly.

"That makes sense."

"Not attacking those weaker than ourselves, are we supposed to provoke stronger beings to our demise?" Isaac added after a pause.

"Now that the primary material world where the Alphatia Empire was located has probably collapsed, who knows how many will remember the Alphatia Empire in the future," Isaac continued.

"It's refreshing to witness the fall of such a super magic empire," Chris said joyously.

Having spent decades in the Alphatia Empire just to witness its final downfall, now that their wishes were fulfilled, Isaac and Chris felt an ultimate sense of joy.

"It's a pity that the imperial capital's library was destroyed," Garon showed a look of regret.

He went to the imperial capital of the main star with the idea of collecting more spell inheritances.

But just upon arriving at the imperial capital, he found that it had been ravaged by civil war, in ruins, with hardly a building intact, and the imperial capital's library had long been reduced to rubble.

"However, the fire magic inheritances collected at Isaac Academy are barely sufficient," he considered this a fortunate misfortune.

"Isaac, Chris."

"What do you plan to do next?" Garon asked.

The two rainbow dragons pondered for a moment, then said thoughtfully, "One story ends, but there are new stories waiting for us to discover."

"We'll find another magical kingdom to witness the beginning of another story."

Pausing for a moment, Isaac, swaying his tail, enthusiastically invited Garon, "How about you? If you're not busy, why not join us, Chris and me, huh? This time

in the Alphatia Empire, we got along very well, not only did we push for the empire's fall, but even the Flame Lord Saint was bluffed by us."

Garon shook his head, "Witnessing the fall of glorious empires is something I can participate in occasionally, but it's not my hobby."

"Moreover, this is not my timeline."

The two rainbow dragons were slightly stunned.

"Huh? What do you mean?"

As they looked at him puzzled, Garon briefly explained his origins.

"Not from another world, but from another time-space... I see, that makes sense," the two dragons showed no surprise, already knowing Garon was a dragon of time and thought it natural for him to traverse the river of time, moving between different timelines.

"In my timeline, if you both are still alive, you'd probably be very strong god-like beings by now," Garon said.

In the main timeline, if Isaac and Chris hadn't died unexpectedly, they would now be legendary dragons of an unimaginably terrifying age and power level.

"That's interesting. If you return to your own timeline and meet me, will the future me remember you?" Isaac curiously said.

Chris also looked at Garon with curiosity.

Garon shook his head, "No, there are endless timelines, and in different ones, there are countless Isaacs and Chrises, of which only the ones from this time are acquainted with me."

Hearing Garon's words, Isaac muttered in disappointment, "That's a pity."

"If the future, powerful me still remembers you, then if we meet..."

Before he could finish, seeing the look in Garon's eyes, Isaac sheepishly smiled and stopped himself.

"Then what?"

Garon lifted his chin.

"He was probably thinking that by then he could still beat you up to vent," Chris immediately stretched her neck and added.

"Is that so?"

Isaac glared at Chris, then hurriedly said, "Don't listen to Chris's nonsense, how could that be?"

"What I meant to say was, I could still... still provide you with some help in various aspects, offering you protection."

"I see, I believe that," Garon said.

After some time, Chris and Isaac hesitantly, then with a flattering smile, said, "So, Garon, about that ascension technique you mentioned earlier, can you teach us now?"

"We consider you like a brother from another mother, so please teach us the ascension technique."

Garon thought for a moment, then said, "I will not teach you this technique."

The two rainbow dragons showed disappointed expressions.

"But,"

"I can give you the opportunity to learn it yourself."

Garon continued, "Do you remember the stories I told you about the fall of several glorious empires? In this timeline, none of them have happened yet."

Isaac and Chris's eyes lit up.

"Consider it a farewell gift. I will give you the world coordinates of the Faerûn Continent."

"You can go there and witness the stories of that land yourselves and, according to your own preferences, subtly influence and adapt them."

"Isn't experiencing it firsthand much more interesting than hearing about it?"

Thinking of several interconnected grand stories, both rainbow dragons felt an intense happiness, almost as if intoxicated, nearly falling backwards.

They could now settle in Faerûn Continent directly.

After giving the coordinates to Isaac and Chris, the three legendary dragons chatted for a while in the icy snowy world.

When Garon mentioned the Time Alliance Pact, Isaac and Chris expressed their willingness to sign, then formed a pact with Garon to assist each other when needed.

"We shall meet again someday."

After saying their goodbyes, Garon opened the gateway to return to the main timeline.

In the timeline where the Alphatia Empire existed, Garon didn't plan to stay long.

After all, the main timeline was not exactly stable at this time.

The revival of the dragon race was something many beings did not wish to see, and beneath the calm surface, currents were already flowing, with a war possibly larger in scale than the Glory Wars ready to erupt at any moment.

As the two rainbow dragons watched, the silver dragon stepped through the time-space portal, like passing through a curtain of water, leaving this world and disappearing from sight.
