Kathy....
Reflecting on all the dubious choices I had made over the years, going on a date with a guy like Kevin topped the list. And yet, here I was, sitting across the table from him on what was supposed to be a 'romantic dinner'.
I admit, I wasn't too excited to be here. When I kissed him, it felt like I had been kissing a piece of cardboard. He froze up immediately, and when he did kiss me back, he left a slobbery trail of saliva all over my mouth.
Zero out of ten.
But I couldn't just back out of a date with him now. I did not want to. I wanted to prove something to Dylan. Ihadto show him that I wasn't just going to be around him forever. And if I had to kiss a couple of frogs along the way, then so be it.
"Let me order for you," Kevin grinned. "I take all my dates to this restaurant. The owners know me by name."
How special.
"Do I not get to pick for myself?" I asked.
"Trust me, you will love what I'm about to order for you," he winked.
