Azel had been there first hand, after all, when those assassins had attacked her. The mere thought of it caused goosebumps to pimple her skin and she shivered involuntarily.
Till now, her father could still not find the culprit behind that attack and even without her asking, she was sure it frustrated him to no end.
She hoped more than anything that he would find them soon. She didn't think she would be able to withstand an experience like that again…
But to think Azel had been thinking of that when he got her the dagger… he was surprisingly thoughtful, considering she hadn't really been nice to him even when he had come to save her.
Her lips formed into a small smile.
Azel glanced sideways at her and his lips curved. "What are you thinking that's making you smile like that?"
Adelia shrugged. "Nothing in particular."
Azel grunted in disbelief and she laughed and he stared at her as if he had been put in a trance.
