Capítulo 48: Chapter 48: 30 Million Reward? Shocked Buggy Gang
After half an hour passed.
Although the Buggy Pirates' lives were spared, they were stripped of their ship's treasures without mercy. Some of the pirates were left stunned, their faces showing a mix of despair and disbelief as they watched their hard-earned loot disappear.
The small sloop, now laden with the spoils, didn't linger around the island known as Orange Town.
"I didn't expect you to defeat 'Clown' Buggy with a 15 million Berry bounty, Luffy!" Alan chuckled, observing Luffy contentedly munching on the Buggy Pirates' food.
While Alan found Paramecia · Chop-Chop Fruit quite intriguing, he had no intention of acquiring the ability. Moreover, given Buggy's past ties to "Red Hair" Shanks and his role as a trainee crew member on the Roger Pirates, Alan suspected that Buggy's true strength might have been concealed.
Alan's attention turned to Nami, who clung to a bag of treasure. She rubbed her hands gleefully over the wealth. "The main thing is, we got the treasure from their ship!"
Zoro leaned against the mast, looking at Nami with a mix of amusement and disbelief. "You're really a money lover..."
Turning to Luffy, Alan inquired, "Shouldn't you give my flying equipment back?"
Luffy's expression shifted from innocent to reluctant. He retrieved a black-gray jar from his crotch and reluctantly handed it over. "This gadget is so fun, can I play with it a bit longer, Alan?"
Alan's eyebrow twitched as he reached out his hand to accept the flying equipment. He pressed his hand on Luffy's straw hat and said with a wry smile, "Fine, it's yours."
Luffy's excitement was evident as he jumped and looked at Alan with wide eyes. He had anticipated a rejection, so Alan's response filled him with joy.
"Really, Al?"
"Of course!" Alan confirmed.
Luffy's gratitude overflowed, and he hugged Alan tightly, overcome with happiness. "You're amazing, Alan!"
Alan then turned his gaze to Zoro. "And of course, Zoro..."
As for Nami, she was already equipped with the powerful Teigu, the Magic Weather Wand, which was versatile and combat-ready in all conditions. Therefore, she had no need for the flying equipment.
Captain Buggy's Coast...
A while after Luffy, Alan, Nami, and Zoro had left, a small boat emerged from the sea, calling out for "Clown" Buggy.
A massive and ferocious lion lazed on the boat, emitting intimidating roars. Seated atop the lion, an individual dressed in a sheep costume maintained an air of faux dignity, creating an odd and comical sight.
The two pirates rowing the boat were both exhausted, their efforts clearly visible in their perspiring forms. The individual in the sheep costume, Vice-Captain Mochi, appeared displeased and questioned, "Where's Captain Buggy?"
The answer was grave, "Captain Buggy was defeated."
Tears welled in the pirate's eyes as he continued, "It was a kid wearing a straw hat. He sent Captain Buggy flying!"
Mochi's eyes widened in disbelief. Anyone who could defeat the supposedly invincible Captain Buggy was no ordinary opponent.
"The accomplices of the straw hat kid plundered all our treasures."
"An impressive man named Alan and another, Zoro, with three swords at his waist, like the rumored pirate hunter Roronoa Zoro."
"And a woman named Nami!"
Kabaji and Mochi exchanged incredulous glances, struggling to fathom the events described.
"How can anyone beat Captain Buggy? He's got the Chop-Chop Fruit and is practically indestructible!"
"Wait, did you mention someone named Alan and a suspected 'Pirate Hunter' Roronoa Zoro?"
Kabaji's face paled as a realization dawned upon him, causing sweat to break out on his forehead. He hastily retrieved pictures that they had acquired from the recently raided town—freshly released Marine bounties.
"You're saying...?" Mochi's eyes widened as he compared the images to the descriptions given by the pirates.
A chorus of astonishment arose as the pirates confirmed the identity of their opponents. The evidence was undeniable: "Magician" Badr Alan, with a bounty of 30 million Berries, dead or alive; "Straw Hat Boy" Monkey D. Luffy, a 15 million Berry bounty, dead or alive; and "Pirate Hunter" Roronoa Zoro, with a bounty of 10 million Berries, dead or alive.
