Capítulo 38: Chapter 37
Wen sighed to himself as he drank his coffee alongside his two employees, as the shop was closed for the day and the three were having a relaxing time there.
"So, how has things been going on your ends?" Wen asked as he looked at the two women.
"It has been going well sir." Hu Yi said to him with a small smile.
"I am also enjoying the job. It is quite easy to do and it feels nice to help people." Xu Lien said to him with a smile on her face.
"I am glad to hear that. Business has increased since we had started and more and more people are coming to get the medicine. If all goes well, then we can perhaps expand it a bit." Wen said to them as he took a bite of the snacks.
"Of course sir." Hu Yi and Xu Lien said with a nod at hearing that as they smiled at his words.
'At the very least, these two are good employees. Brother Jing had indeed brought me good employees.' Wen thought to himself as he was satisfied with them.
After spending more time drinking coffee and eating snacks, the three of them left the shop as they went their separate ways. Though the two girls gazed at Wen for a few moments before they went their separate ways.
Wen meanwhile made sure to check everything before he closed the shop and went back to his home. He thought about what had happened as he knew that Zhang Huan will be returning to Lin's home today after a few minutes since he had looked at the man.
'Guess the attack on his younger sister shook the family. Then again, I wouldn't be surprised, they must've wanted to inform him in secret so that word doesn't get out.' Wen thought to himself as he smiled at the thought of Zhang Ai.
As he walked for a few more minutes, he stopped as he looked to his right at the space between two buildings as he narrowed his eyes. Then he turned and walked inside the space and then found a wounded woman leaning on the side of the building, as he could also see that she is unconscious.
'Hmm, she doesn't seem bad. I could look at her memories but I don't like to do that. For now, I'll just take her to my apartment. If she does turn out to be dangerous to me then I can take care of her.' Wen thought to himself as he picked up the girl in his arms.
Then he decided to teleport himself and the girl a few metres away from the apartment building. He walked inside after tricking the guard and receptionist to go away for a moment and walking through the blind spots of the security camera's and his own power before he reached his room.
He walked inside and then laid the girl on the bed and looked at her. He saw that she is quite injured and he could see two bullet wounds on her. One on the left side of her waist and the other on her right thigh.
She seems to have dressed it with ripped pieces of her clohes and it seems to have been able to stop the bleeding and it has clotted. He also observed that she is quite dirty and exhausted as she didn't react when he picked her up and brought her to his room.
"Well, I'll heal you first." Wen said as he looked the girl over as he had already done a scan of her body.
He first numbed her body and then removed her crudely made bandages and then looked at her wounds. The bullets had already been removed so he didn't have to do much other than put medicine on it and wrap it in fresh bandage.
He also put medicine on her head and wrapped it in bandage and over her shoulders, elbows, forearms, knees and legs and other parts. After which he looked at her as most of her body has been covered in bandages.
"She has clearly been intentionally injured. But for what reason and why? Her soul doesn't seem to be evil at the least. But her intentions remain to be seen." Wen said to himself before he decided to leave her alone and left the room.
After he left the room, he placed his laptop on the table and used it for some time before he went out to stabilize the chi flow of the land and made sure that there wasn't any dark beings entering the world.
He hummed to himself as he was happy at the fact that the night is peaceful as he looked at the animals sleeping in their homes as he smiled and spread his chi out as he calmed them down and gave them a good sleep. He knew they needed it due to the constant fight for survival that they do.
He then returned to his apartment room and then sat on the couch with a smile as he knew that Zhang Huan had just reached Xiao Lin's home and that her plan would begin soon.
'Now, I wonder how she will do it.' Wen thought to himself with a smile as he was eager to see that.
And as he had thought, Zhang Huan had reached the Xiao residence and he greeted the father, mother and sister before asking where Lin is. They informed him that she is in her room as he thanked them and went to her room.
When he entered the room he saw his wife sitting on the couch in her room as she looked at him with cold eyes. Something which he didn't like to see on her face, not at the moment and not after what had happened when his machinations were revealed.
"Hello Lin. I'm sorry that it took so long for me to get back. I had a few matters at my family." Zhang Huan said to her with an amicable smile on his face.
"I don't care. I need you to sign this quickly." Lin said to him with a serious no nonsense face.
"And what might that me?" Zhang Huan asked as his smile fell a bit.
"The divorce papers. I have already signed it, now you just need to do it as well." Xiao Lin said to him as she glared at him.
"Why are you making such a rash decision? You know that you need my help, don't you?" Zhang Huan said to her as he looked at her.
"I am not going to ask again. Sign it, now. Besides, I'm sure my family will be able to survive without your support. You aren't important enough for me to stay married to you." Xiao Lin said to him with an angry tone.
That struck a chord in him as Zhang Huan glared at her at daring to say those words to him, especially since he is the reason as to why her family is still there, even if he was the reason they had lost some of their reputation in the past.
"You are awfully confident about this aren't you? But I know that your family won't be able to do anything without me." Zhang Huan said to her with a smile on his face.
"Oh? Are you scared of doing a divorce with me? Are you that desperate to be my little husband? I'm touched." Xiao Lin said with mock surprise as she smiled at him.
"You..." Zhang Huan glared at her when he heard that.
"Don't make me waste more of my precious time on this. Just sign it here and be done with it." Xiao Lin said to him with a serious face.
Zhang Huan glared at her as he couldn't believe that she was acting like this towards him. Things have not been going too well, not to mention someone had attacked his family not too long ago and now this on top of that.
But what he was most angry about was the disrespect she has shown towards him, despite knowing the fact that he is needed by her family.
'She will regret opposing me like this.' Zhang Huan thought to himself as he glared at her as she returned with her own glare.

Lust_Demon_Samael Two whole months since I updated. Kind of took a small leave due to all the real life things but I guess I'm back. I don't know if I'll be able to make chapters frequently as before, but I will try my best.
