"I said you could continue your work. You are completely safe as long as you're out here. You've taken enough time already. I have other things to do than stand here and supervise you all day." The guard supervising Ellie complained, and she woke up from her thoughts and shot him a fierce, angry glare.

"I never asked you to supervise me. You gave yourself that job so don't blame me for that. You can leave if you want." She fired back at him with an intensity that got him surprised. 

She was stressed, tired, hungry, and worse, she couldn't shake off the thought that it may be Nicholas in there. Still, he had the audacity to complain as if she asked for his supervision in the first place.

"I'm still here and you are this scared and frozen in a spot because of a little noise you heard. I wonder what will happen if I wasn't here. Move quickly else I'll throw you out." He threatened.
