Cardan left the party to take a call.

"Happy birthday son" James told him as son as he answered.

Cardan sighed "Thanks dad."

"Is that Cardan, give me the phone!" Amanda cut of James as she removed the phone from his hand.

"Yes it's me mom" he responded.

"Happy birthday sweetie. I wish we could celebrate it with you" she told him sadly before adding "But your grandparents are excited about you finally coming back."

Cardan chuckled wearily. He knew that as soon as he returned he'd not only have to take over the Chang empire but he'll also have to go to Europe and have his coming of age ceremony.

The idea of it all gave him massive anixety.

"Now that you're mother is gone, I think you should return back tomorrow. Come to the company to sign a few documents and meet our stakeholders as well" James told him.
