Capítulo 24: Chapter 24

After letting herself in I waited for her to begin speaking.

"I have good news our restaurant has been chosen to cater during the sports event all expenses paid." she said a look of excitement took over her face.

"That's great news mom" Easton said as a smile made it's way to his face he also looked excited.

"I'm glad too but Boss Dai I didn't know you had a restaurant" I said acting a little pitiful, I really didn't know.

Smacking her face with her hand as if having forgotten something she replied" I'm so sorry I forgot to tell you. One of the reasons I'm not always here is because I'm busy in my other business which is the restaurant and since it generates the most income" she explained as I nodded.

A true business woman I see.

"So what your job will be is to act as waiters and ensure that nothing happens to the food if you see any issue with it you have to tell me." she said in a sober tone.

"I don't trust the He family restaurant will sit down and let me have my win" seeing my look of confusion she added "The He family are our rivals in terms of our restaurant business"

"C-Can I-I he-help?" Remy asked as he raised his right hand all eyes turned to him as he tried to make himself smaller. Boss Dai's smile softened as she watched him.

"Sure you can, you can be Cardan's assistant" she said as Remy nodded his head repeatedly before turning to me "P-please t-take care of me" he said as I took his hand and began to shake it "I will and you too. Take care of me" Easton scoffed as Remy agreed readily.

Remy was very excited he was able to help the person who had saved him and he would take it with the utmost seriousness.

Looking back Remy would realise that this was truly the day he started as Cardan's special assistant.

After that we all went to work as boss Dai began making a few calls.Remy would follow me around like a little assistant and would help where he could. I think he took boss Dai's words a bit too seriously, but since he was too energetic I decided to let him help.

After we were done for the day. Remy was picked up and boss Dai drove me back to my flat along with John who would return with her back to her restaurant.

After arriving home I immediately went to take a shower as I processed the day. Starting from Saturday I would be going to boss Dai's restaurant to begin my training. Plus she would be paying me for the extra work.

Closing the cold shower water I wrapped a towel around my waist fortunately it was still summer so the cold water didn't affect me that much and I was already used to it.

As soon as I left the bathroom I heard a knock from the door. My eyes moved to the door as I picked up my phone to look at the time. It was nine in the evening. Who the hell would be coming unannounced at this time of day.

"Cardan it's me" hearing Zade from the door my eyes rose in shock.

Immediately wearing my eye contacts I went for the door still wrapped in a towel. As soon as I opened the door I was met with an injured Zade. I was shocked but that shock disappeared just as quickly as it had appeared.

"Hey" he said leaning on the door before collapsing on my shoulder. Dragging him inside I noticed that his shirt was all blooded and he had a few cuts on his face.

After wearing my pants and shirt I immediately began working on him years of treating Keith after he was done training came in hand.

Opening up his shirt I realised that he had a few more bruises on his chest.Fortunately most of the blood on the shirt wasn't his. After cleaning him up with a few tissues and an unused cloth I moved so that I could put a blanket over him. As I set to watch him I took a breath to calm down

At least he didn't seem to have any cuts. Sitting down as I watched him I couldn't help but wonder.

What the hell happened to him.
