Thaleia continued her argument, "If you had the moral compass of a Baku, you'd see the situation as clearly as I do."

"And if you had the vision of a Baku, you'd discern what is and isn't our business," Drevolan retorted.

Thaleia defended her stance, "How can it not be our concern? A Dragon is a Dragon, even if this one is a Vorgan. We should find out why."

Drevolan gestured towards me, "Have you met Viktor's aide, Thorne? He's as much of a Dragon—"

Thaleia interrupted, "That serpent? He was expelled from the House, as you're well aware."

"Maybe she was too—"

"If that's the case," she interjected, "we'll find out, and also why."

"Why not just ask her directly?"

"She would never admit to being a Dragon, let alone—"

Drevolan changed tactics, "Your main interest in this is to find another heir, isn't it?"

"What does my motive have to do with—"

"Thaleia!" Drevolan interrupted, "Maybe we should consult Alyssra."
