The door to the Dark Arts Defense office was knocked.
Professor Brode opened the door and looked at Albert outside, asking in confusion, "Albert, is the Apparition class over?"
"Not yet. There's something I want to ask for your help with," Albert replied.
"What is it?" Professor Brode noticed Albert's anxious expression and inquired further.
"I want to experience what it feels like to use Apparition," Albert took a deep breath and explained his intention.
"Why would you have such a thought?" MacDough shifted his gaze from the parchment and looked at Albert entering the room.
"Perhaps you're right. I might be wasting my time on Apparition, but I still want to experience what it feels like to use it," Albert hesitated for a moment and continued, "I've temporarily given up on the idea of mastering it in a short period of time."
The office fell into a brief silence. Professor Brode and MacDough exchanged glances, never expecting Albert to be interested in attempting to master Apparition.
"Using Apparition initially is uncomfortable, even bordering on terrible. Some people find it difficult to adapt and end up giving up on learning it. Are you sure you want to try?" Professor Brode asked.
"Yes, I'm sure," Albert affirmed. He knew they agreed, and if this attempt didn't grant him the skill of Apparition, then he would temporarily give up.
"Albert, there's something you need to understand," MacDough's expression suddenly became serious. "Absolutely, absolutely no secret practice of Apparition, understood?"
Albert nodded, assuring them that he wouldn't do such a thing.
"That's good," MacDough nodded in satisfaction. "Follow me. Hogwarts doesn't provide a way to practice Apparition. However, before that, you need to understand some knowledge."
Professor Brode began to explain Apparition to Albert.
"Apparition is actually divided into two parts: Disapparition and Reapparition. First, you use Disapparition to disappear from your original position, and then you use Reapparition to appear at the desired location. Apparition itself is an extremely advanced form of magic, which is why it requires adulthood for certification."
"There are limitations to the distance of Apparition. As the distance of Disapparition increases, the difficulty also increases. During Apparition, the wizard needs to have a good understanding of the destination. If the distance is too long, it may result in splitting, severe injury, or even death."
"What we will be doing is Side-Along Apparition, a variation of Apparition where the Apparator takes someone who cannot Apparate along with them."
Albert nodded, indicating that he understood.
The two of them left the office, passed through the entrance hall, descended the stone steps, and walked towards the outskirts of the castle.
The Apparition class in the Great Hall was still ongoing, with many upper-year students practicing diligently. Unlike them, as long as Albert could learn the skill of Apparition, he wouldn't need to worry about this aspect.
"Hogwarts doesn't allow Apparition, so we have to leave this area. Usually, the Forbidden Forest is a suitable choice," Professor Brode knew Albert wouldn't want to experience Apparition in the Great Hall.
Therefore, the best current option was the Forbidden Forest.
The two of them quietly arrived at the Forbidden Forest. It was peaceful here, with no one to disturb them.
"Grab onto my wrist and don't let go," Professor Brode reminded, "I will Apparate us to an empty space a few feet away. Get ready!"
Albert suddenly found himself surrounded by darkness, with a strong sense of compression coming from all directions. In that moment, he felt like he was being compressed by an invisible force, his eyes squeezed back into his skull, as if being squeezed out of a narrow rubber tube.
Everything was over, and Albert took in deep breaths of fresh air. He and Professor Brode appeared in an empty space a few feet away.
"I feel like throwing up," Albert covered his mouth, forcibly suppressing the nausea rising in his stomach. Soon, he ran to a nearby tree and began to retch.
Professor Brode watched Albert retching against the tree and comforted him, saying, "You need to gradually adapt to this feeling."
"It feels terrible!" Albert grumbled, but he soon became happy again because the Apparition skill appeared on his skill panel.
When one's mood improves, their spirits rise, and the negative emotions gradually fade away.
"Now you understand why we don't let you practice Apparition too early," Professor Brode shook his head.
"Do most wizards Apparate with their children?" Albert found it hard to believe. For children, it would undoubtedly be a disaster, considering his higher tolerance compared to others.
"No, parents usually don't do that," Professor Brode shook his head. "In general, they use simpler methods, like Floo Powder."
"I definitely won't attempt to practice this spell haphazardly," Albert muttered.
"That's wise," Professor Brode was satisfied with Albert's self-awareness.
However, he didn't know that Albert didn't need to attempt practicing Apparition because he had already mastered it.
If there was a need, Albert could simply upgrade the spell to Level 2.
"Albert, are you also trying to sneak into the forest?" As soon as Albert stepped out of the forest, he was caught by the furious Hagrid.
"Professor Brode, what are you doing here?"
"Well, Mr. Anderson and I are doing some magical tests around the outskirts of the forest," Professor Brode casually explained.
"Oh, I see."
Although he received an explanation from Professor Brode, Hagrid still looked at Albert with suspicion and couldn't help but complain, "Lately, the Weasley twins keep going into the forest, and it's driving me mad. I remember you have a good relationship with them. You should remind them not to do anything foolish. The depths of the forest are far from safe."
"Cough, I understand," Albert dryly coughed and quickly assured Hagrid.
In fact, Albert knew that he couldn't stop the Weasley twins from their Forbidden Forest adventures.
After bidding farewell to Hagrid, the two continued walking in the direction of the castle. Along the way, Professor Brode suddenly remembered something, "I heard there's a breeding ground for Acromantulas with eight eyes in the UK, and it's highly likely to be in the Forbidden Forest."
"Acromantulas?"
"Once, a famous wizard tried to find the breeding ground for Acromantulas. He disappeared deep within the Forbidden Forest." Professor Brode furrowed his brow slightly as he mentioned this, "Those creatures are very dangerous."
Albert made a noncommittal sound. He knew exactly what Professor Brode was referring to—the whole Acromantula breeding ground was Hagrid's fault.
