Edward was escorted to his family's gravesite in the pack. Upon reaching his father's tombstone, he picked up a small flower nearby and placed it on the grave.
"Father, were you a bad father?" Edward asked dejectedly, sitting beside the tombstone and regretfully sobbing. He wished he hadn't been so oblivious to the truth around him and had noticed the wrongdoings in their upbringing.
He had never harbored any ill intentions towards his brother, believing the same to be true for Cane. However, after Cane returned to the pack during their father's illness, Edward discovered the painful reality.
"I do not resent Cane, I wish you had loved us equally," Edward continued sobbing, wiping away the tears as they fell.
"You make it difficult for me," Cane's annoyed voice interrupted from behind Edward, causing him to frown. Cane had never visited their father's grave since his death, and he appeared anxious and shocked to see him there now.
