Lawrence, at the corner of his eye, saw his precious cat leaping out of the shirt he wrapped it with.
A pang of anxiousness burst out of his heart, losing his focus on the enemy in front in a split second. The man growled and trapped Lawrence's weapon, trying to use his sheer strength to split it open.
And Lawrence's metal weapon indeed broke into two.
Staring at it, the man grinned sickly and did not hesitate to use the sharp edge to strike Lawrence's abdomen. At the same time, Kevin successfully turned himself into a human and shoved an explosive egg in the mouth of the man.
All three of them were standing still as if in a stalemate. It was Lawrence who reacted first and pulled Kevin towards him.
He created a sturdy metal wall as an extension on his back and successfully shield Kevin from the exploding man behind him.
