Capítulo 4: Sent off

Immediately after that, the huge screen became filled with stars. White, red, blue, and orange stars were connected to each other with white lines. Forming the different constellations in the universe.

These constellations were drawn on the surface of various playing cards. Then it formed a long chain and swayed in front of Kevin, arranging itself horizontally. Kevin could not help but gaped, seeing these cards made out of 12 constellations form themselves into a wall.

He never dreamed he would witness this scene happening in reality.

Each constellation was assigned with corresponding numbers and suits. For the Capricorn, it has four suits which are: hearts, diamonds, clubs, and spades. Kevin was aware of the design and rules of the Constellation Card World.

He once tried to draw the card face. What it would look like having the constellation instead of the usual face of Jack, Queen, and King. When he saw it with his own eyes, he could not help but be surprised at how accurate the designs of the cards are.

Kevin has a bad feeling in his heart when the cards grouped themselves to their corresponding small screens. White light flashed then those screens started to show live records of what was happening in the different domains of the 12 Zodiacs.

Kevin knew he will become one of them. Multiple calculations appeared in his mind. He remembered every plot of the different instances. But there was one mishap. Because his editor persisted him to change the story settings, he went ahead and change so many details.

This surely has affected the plot. So what will happen to those instances he changed? Will it stick to the original or confirm with the recent plot change?

Kevin silently watched a young man stuck alone inside a room. He was fiddling with something in the wall, his palm slapping and trying to move some bricks in the wall. Opposite him, a wall made out of metal spears is coming close.

The young man's face was pale and he was frightened out of his wits. He became extremely agitated and started kicking the wall. But it never worked.

Kevin watched without blinking when the young man was pierced by multiple spears. Blood squeezed out of his body like he was a wet laundry being squeezed out of water before hanging to dry.

The young man's head was also pierced directly at the forehead, crushing both his face and brain. Kevin felt intense nausea watching this scene. He covered his mouth with the back of his palm and close his eyes. He took deep breaths before he opened his eyelids again.

[Aww, are you disgusted Kevin? Please don't. You are the writer. You should get used to witnessing scenes like this.]

Kevin looked sideways before saying in a calm voice.

"I take it you want me to participate in the instances, right? You said about playing to survive."

[Yes and no. Hehehehe]

That laugh doesn't sound good.

[You have a special identity, Kevin. You already know most of the plots and the administrator cannot have you play normally. Because it would be unfair to other players. Hence, you have a special task. You will still play in the instance games at different domains but your main goal is not to 'survive'. It's to help your main protagonist 'live until the end'.]

Kevin was dumbfounded. "What?"

[Your survival rate and clearance rate will depend on the main protagonist's progress. In simple words, your job is to play alongside the main protagonist. Giving him the right clues, saving his life, protecting him, and making sure he will survive in every instance!]

[Your main mission is to change his terrible fate of being killed. If you succeed, you will be transported back to the real world and see your brother again.]

Kevin: "....."

Kevin's mind blank out. He…He already expected to be shoved into the cruel world of the Constellation and play the survival games. He already made calculations, using the knowledge he had when planning out the scenarios before.

But the main protagonist? Saving him? Are you fucking serious?

Kevin's face was full of ridicule.

So not only the blockhead editor wanted to change his ending even this system wanted to let the protagonist live. He felt a huge headache even though he hasn't started yet.

"Is it too late to back out now?" Kevin whispered.

[Yes, Kevin. You already know the rules right? Each domain is controlled by each zodiac. The four suits are categorized by different genres. Hearts is mystery. Diamonds is fantasy. Clubs is horror and Spades is apocalypse. You are only allowed to fail once.]

"I know that," Kevin grumbled.

[Hehehe, I'm explaining this because we have a recent rule update in courtesy of you. Each instance game you and the main protagonist experience has no time limit. This means that even if you complete the mission and pass the instance, you will have to stay in that world and grow old together or until you die.]

Kevin was stunned.

"Wait, you're only referring to the Hearts and Diamonds right?"

The world of Hearts is usually set in a non-supernatural world. It could be set in ancient times or the modern world. It's also the same with the Diamonds. But the Diamonds will have magic since it was a fantasy setting that has the existence of mythical creatures. Living in those worlds is relatively safe and very ideal.

But how about in Clubs and Spades? Clubs have horrors! Ghosts and monsters will be their terrible enemies. No one can live in that kind of environment for even a year!

Fuck.

And Spades. Fuck that Apocalyptic World of Spades. Due to his dedication, he had made the Spades to be the most difficult suit in every constellation. Zombies, plague, virus, aliens, killing chemicals, complete annihilation you name it.

The more Kevin think about the scenarios he created to make the games even more challenging, the more he regrets ever creating those plots.

[No. This rule applies to all four instances. By the way, the main protagonist of your story has already entered the instance game. He'll be needing your help so I'll send you to him right now. Good luck.]

"Huh? Wa - wait I still have questions -"

Kevin is still stretching his hand when the surrounding suddenly became dark.

PENSAMENTOS DOS CRIADORES

Kevin: Fuck this is ridiculous. Can my situation get any worse?

System: Hehe.

Author: Hehe.

Kevin: *gulped* Those evil laughs... I got a bad feeling about this.

A/N: In case you're confused.

Suits = hearts, clubs, diamonds, spades.

There are 12 Zodiacs right? Each zodiac has four suits. So, for example, in Capricorn. It has Capricorn of hearts, Capricorn of clubs. Etc. Capricorn of hearts/clubs/diamonds/spades are instance games with its corresponding theme/genre. But for Kevin and the ML, these instance games will turn into 'worlds' since they will stay in each world setting until they grow old or die. So yeah. That's why I titled this novel as 'Quick Transmigration' since both the ML and MC will be hopping between different worlds. I hope it make sense? Hehe. If you have any question, feel free to ask.
