Capítulo 13: Ch 13: The Grigori

Sharon and Baraqiel spread their wings as they both launched into the skies.

"Just follow me."

Fire streaked behind Sharon's body as a faint lightning aura surrounded the two of them while they flew at speeds unrecognizable to the naked eye.

Nearly an hour later, they approached a large building in the nearby city to Kuoh.

"We're here." Baraqiel said as he came to a halt in front of the door on the rooftop.

Sharon landed beside him as they both retracted their wings and made their way into the building.

Sharon glanced around as he could see many Fallen Angels everywhere he looked.

They descended around 20 floors before Sharon saw a familiar face.

"It's the old man!" Sharon said out loud with a smile as he noticed Baraqiel's surprised face.

"You know Azazel?" Baraqiel asked as Azazel turned to Sharon.

"You finally came, so have you changed your mind? Will you join the Grigori?" Azazel asked as Sharon shook his head.

"I'm not planning on joining the Grigori. However, I want to work with you." Sharon says as Azazel glances at him before looking at Baraqiel.

"Sure, I don't see a problem with that. However, what you see and do here ... stays here, got it?" Azazel said as Sharon nodded with a smile.

Azazel and Baraqiel went ahead towards the meeting room while Sharon wandered the building.

Seeing the Fallen Angels behaving no different from the others he's seen from different races, he was a bit uncomfortable.

"Why couldn't we live like this?" He muttered before shaking his head of unnecessary thoughts.

'I'll make it so that every dragon can, one day, live in peace.' He thought as he clenched his fists.

He continued looking around when he saw a young silver-haired boy running around.

He looked nothing like the other Fallen Angels. In fact, he smelled similar to a devil.

"Vali, come back! The Governor General is in a meeting." A young man said as he ran after Vali.

The young man had a small fedora on his head, along with a trench coat.

"Go away! I'm gonna meet Azazel and make him take me to that Dragon-boy!" The young silver-haired boy yelled back as he ran towards Sharon.

Sharon focused the dragonification powers on his eyes as he was able to sense the Sacred Gear within Vali.

'Divine Dividing. This young boy ... he possesses the Sacred Gear of Albion the Vanishing Dragon!' Sharon thought as he could feel an urge to spar with the boy and compare their strengths.

However, as Sharon observed the young boy, he noticed the dormant state of the Sacred Gear.

'Seems he's not ready for the Sacred Gear yet.' Sharon thought as Vali ran into Sharon.

"Hey! Watch where you're going!" Vali said as he looked at Sharon and felt something inside him twitch.

Sharon looked at the boy curiously as he noticed the weird expression on the boy's face.

"You alright, kid?" Sharon asked as he looked at him again with his dragonic perception.

'He's gotten closer to awakening Albion! How?' Sharon wondered as he noticed the boy was still staring at him.

"Something wrong, kid?" Sharon asked as the boy shook his head before snorting.

"What do you mean, kid? You don't look any older than me!" Vali retorted as he crossed his arms and tried to look larger.

"Well then, how old are you?" Sharon asked as Vali showed a prideful expression as he said, "I'll be 11 next month."

"I see." Sharon said as he pretended to stroke his non-existent beard.

"I'll be 12 in a couple of months, so you are a kid to me." Sharon said as he smirked.

Vali stared with a frown as Sharon noticed Azazel hiding behind a nearby wall.

"How much longer will you stay hidden, old man?" Sharon questioned as Vali looked around.

With a smile, Azazel moved away from the wall and towards the two young boys.

"You're as sharp as ever, huh? Guess the dragon blood inside you is quite strong." Azazel said as Vali's eyes widened.

"You're the dragon-boy? Why didn't you tell me?" Vali asked as he looked at Sharon, then at Azazel.

"D-Dragon-Boy? I'm Sharon Savant, not some random children's book superhero." Sharon retorted, feeling annoyed at the nickname Vali had just called him.

"Aren't you two getting along well. It seems leaving the two of you to meet each other wasn't a bad idea after all." Azazel commented as he glanced at the other Fallen Angels who knew of the attack on the Savants done by Kokabiel.

"I don't see how it could be a bad idea, but it might've been better to have met with introductions." Sharon replied as the other Fallen Angels looked a bit worried.

"What's with them? Scared I'll kill someone?" Sharon jokingly said with a laugh as Azazel laughed loudly.

"You're quite the kid, I tell ya." Azazel said as Baraqiel stepped forward.

"Some think you'll hold the boy hostage against the Governor General and ask for Kokabiel." Baraqiel said as Sharon just deadpanned.

"How stupid would I have to be to do that in your territory? I might be a kid, but I'm not that dumb." Sharon commented as he felt as though his intelligence was being questioned.

"Anyways, wanna join my team?" Vali asks as he looks at Sharon.

"Team? What team?" Sharon asks with an intrigued expression.

"A team to become stronger and stronger. A team of people that will have each other's backs while helping each team member reach their goal." Vali said as he explained his idea to Sharon.

"That sounds interesting ... what would be the benefits of joining?" Sharon asked as Vali just stared at him.

The two exchanged stares as the other Fallen Angels just watched.

"Uh ... how about an 'I owe you'?" Vali asked as Sharon just deadpaned at him.

"I'll consider joining your team when you can give me something I want in exchange. What do ya say?" Sharon asked as Vali looked at him and nodded.

"No take backs! I'll make you join my team, for sure!" Vali said with a grin as Sharon chuckled a bit to himself.

'I'll need some advice from an actual dragon sometime soon to evolve from High-Class to Dragon King. If he can awaken Albion by then ... we'll see.' Sharon thought as he remembered something important.

"Old man! Can I work here and get paid?" Sharon asked as he remembered the importance of money in the human world.

"Hmm? You want to get paid? Paid with what?" Azazel asked as Baraqiel was curious.

"I need money. Apparently, everything costs money here. Even water, so ... I need money." Sharon said as he was slightly flushed.

'I thought it was like the way the Savant clan was run. Everything would be bartered for, but I've been spending so much money the last couple of years, and I've done nothing to pay Shuri-san and Akeno back!' Sharon thought as Azazel nodded to himself.

"I see, well ... how about this. You can help around wherever you see fit in the Grigori, or you can patrol the human world and report to either Baraqiel, me, or the other Cadres of anything suspicious among the supernatural. Every month, I'll pay you." Azazel recommended as Sharon nodded.

"I'll patrol! I'm sure I can do that." Sharon said as he had a look of gratitude in his eyes.

"Good luck, kid. Oh, if anyone asks, you are not part of the Grigori. You're not strong enough to deal with our enemies just yet." Azazel warned as Sharon just nodded.

Days went by as Sharon had begun working for the Grigori.

As always, he'd live with Akeno's family and trained himself. While, during his off-time, he'd wander around the city and nearby cities scrounging up any information he could find.

'This must be what those journalists from TV do all the time.' Sharon thought as he felt like a journalist himself.

Spending his days randomly wandering around, he eventually came across a small white kitten.

The kitten seemed to be lost as Sharon could feel a sense of unease and worry emanating from the kitten.

Thanks to his dragonic perception, he's better able to sense emotions as a cloud of aura around a being.

"I can't just leave the kitten alone." Sharon thought as he slowly walked over and gently reached for the kitten.

"Rreow!!" The kitten hissed as it slashed Sharon's hand that approached the kitten.

"Hey, it's okay. I won't hurt you. You can trust me." He said as he reached for it again, except this time, he moved even slower.

Seeing the kitten not hissing at him nor slashing him, he slowly continued reaching for it until he made contact with its fur.

'The kitten hasn't taken a bath, huh? The fur is all dirty.' Sharon thought as he gently picked up the kitten and took it to a nearby lake.

He quickly stripped off his clothes and jumped into the lake.

The kitten watched as he jumped in and approached him slowly.

Sharon had a warm smile on his face as he reached out towards the kitten.

"Come in, the water's just fine." Sharon said with a chuckle as the kitten glanced around, at him, then the surroundings until it finally leaped into his arms.

He washed the kitten's fur clean and an hour later made his way back home. Except this time, the kitten followed him home.

Wow, the story is finally starting to move closer and closer to the main arcs.

Is this arc too long? Like, how many more chapters do you think should be about Sharon before the main arcs?

Well, on another note:

If you enjoyed what you read, make sure to add it to your library, and if you want to, give the story some stones! (The stones really motivate me!)

Do leave comments, as I'll read each one and take it to heart on how I can improve my writing.
