Elric still had a small issue with his plan to take revenge on the attacker, though. His father's influence on the police had almost entirely run out already, and he was only lucky enough to get an officer placed by his family when he was at the bar before.

If he openly went out and attacked the manager of the Ensue company, he would struggle to avoid legal troubles.

Without a car of his own, his only options were to walk or to take a cab over. Walking a few dozen kilometers with a hammer in hand, directly to the location of a crime, and then walking all of the way back probably wasn't the greatest idea.

There were plenty of cameras around the city, and the danger of being caught was way too high.

It was the same with taking a cab. It was impossible to trust a random stranger to hold onto a secret like that.

'My only option is to rely on a friend to bring me there… pretty much only the other villainous would be good choices.'
