The hours pass slowly, but after some time Alex finally opens his eyes in the early hours of the morning. His eyes meet Kaito's, and a faint smile lights up his haggard face.

"You're back..." murmurs Alex, his voice hoarse and low.

"Yes, I'm here," Kaito replies, smiling gently with closed lips. "How are you feeling?"
