Capítulo 39: Chapter 39: Mission Overview

Mystique turned back to see the source of the sound to find out that it was the one she had contacted for the mission.
"You're late, Surgeon. Time is of the essence, and we can't afford any mistakes." Mystique said
Law smirked "Relax, blue babe. I've got everything under control. Trask won't know what hit him."
Mystique raises an eyebrow, unimpressed by the guy's nonchalant attitude.
Law turned serious and asked "What is the plan? Are we both going or the others from the brotherhood would be joining? What are the objectives of the mission besides eliminating Trask?"
Mystique said "Only we two would be doing the mission and there would be no backup. Erik and the other mutants of the brotherhood are busy with something else and hence are not here."
Law already knew as he smiled underneath his mask as he was the reason they were busy.
Mystique didn't know his thoughts as she continued speaking "The mission's main objective is to kill Trask and rescue the trapped mutants. Although it would not be easy as a military general William Stryker has given him protection in the form of many soldiers."
Law's eyes widen as soon as he heard William Stryker's name. He knew he was in this world but unlike the movies where he was a subordinate/bodyguard in the x men movies before becoming a general, in this reality he is already a general and is even offering Trask protection.
Mystique continued with her exclamation
"Originally, I just wanted to secretly assassinate Trask but with your help we would be able to kill all these military personnel as well and rescue the captive mutants."
'So I would have to kill some military men, but they should be innocent and were only taking orders...' Before Law could complete this thought
"Don't worry about these soldiers. All of these soldiers know about mutants and hate mutants to the core and have done unspeakable things to mutants. All of them. No one among them is innocent." Mystique said with rage in her eyes which relieved Law and he didn't feel any hesitation for killing these soldiers now.
'That's probably why Stryker trusted them to protect Trask and the secret of the existence of mutants. If I am right, Stryker should also have a mutant team on his beck and call. I wish there would be some mutants stationed there so I could enjoy myself a little.' As law was thinking about having a good fight, Mystique told him the plan for the mission
"We'll enter through the sewer tunnels. Trask's security won't be expecting that. You would then teleport yourself to the surface and eliminate the soldiers. I would take advantage of the chaos and locate the mutant holding cells and release them.I'll handle Trask personally."
Law raised an eyebrow at that "Handle him personally? Is that the polite way of saying you're going to break him in half like a toothpick?"
Mystique smiled at that "Something like that, Just be ready to teleport the mutants outside the area of battle once the chaos begins. I want to ask you whether you could bring one of the mutants that are your friends with you for some backup. Before you say I should ask Charles for help, Erik has forbidden us to take help from him and solve the problem ourselves"
Law laughed at that "Are you sure about solving the problem yourself hahahaha"
Mystique just blushed at that. Law was surprised at that as someone with blue skin blushing was a rare sight.
"Just tell me, Will your mutant friend come or not?" Mystique said
'Hmm, Emma should be busy with the company but Gambit can probably come. He also wanted to accompany me to a mission for some time. So I can bring him with me.'
"One of them can come." Law said after thinking about this
"Good then after I have released the mutants, Teleport the mutants to your friend who would protect them till we rendezvous." Mystique said
"How would we escape?" Law asked
"I have already stolen a jet which we would be using to both go there and escape. The jet would also be a little far away to avoid the military detecting it." Mystique said
"What are the weapons they are making to seal with mutants?" Law asked to know which weapons Trask was making to deal with mutants.
"I don't know much about the weapons. But I found out how they were able to find so many mutants to experiment on easily. Trask has created a tracker that helps to find whether an individual has a X gene or not." Mystique said
"Our side mission would be to find these trackers, take some of them and destroy the rest. Also to take any other weapons they already have made." She said
"Hmm fine, but what would you do with the rescued mutants? Would you pursue them to join the brotherhood?" Law asked
"I would give them the choice to join either the brotherhood and fight for our cause or live peacefully with Charles. I would trouble you to drop them to Charles." Mystique said
"Hmm, Sure. I would charge you an extra $1 million for it." Law said
"Fine" Mystique replied reluctantly
'I should probably find the sentinel designs after I deal with the soldiers.' Law thought
"Alright I will contact my friend and after he arrives, we will head out."
