As Noa expected, a message arrived from his commanding officer, which he promptly read.

"What's the message about?" Eden inquired.

"It's an emergency duty call from the military. I have to report right away," Noa replied, his eyes scanning the screen. "At least it shows that they're taking the declaration seriously. Otherwise, they wouldn't be summoning all personnel."

Eden's worry became apparent as he asked, "Are you sure about this?"

Noa nodded, his face devoid of emotion. "Yes, I have to go. It's crucial for me to witness Infrablack's response to the message sent to the system."

"Can I come with you?" Eden asked softly, almost a whisper.

"No," Noa responded firmly. "This is a military matter. It's not something I'm allowed to bring you to listen in. Besides, you need rest to recover soon."

Eden nodded, feeling a mix of disappointment and newfound determination.

"Okay. Good luck, man," he said, offering his support to Noa.
