BEN
"Ben, that's too aggressive!" I heard a voice call out.
I arrived at the scene to find Lana holding a rod, her companion clutching her injured arm as if it had been dislocated. Without thinking, I struck Lana on the back of her head with the hilt of my sword, causing her to drop to her knees.
That wasn't the plan. The plan had been to make her confess so we could record her words and present them to Cedric as evidence, pressing for her execution.
I dropped the sword and pulled Lana over to see her face. She was bleeding profusely from her nostrils, and her breathing was slowly fading away.
"Good lord," I whispered, touching her face.
"That's not the plan, Ben," the omega remarked, standing up and walking over to the lifeless body in my arms.
We had gotten ourselves into a serious mess. Cedric would not spare us if he found out about this.
