CEDRIC
The damn fae's death was the furthest thing from my mind, even though it was I who got her put in jail for making what I felt to be a false charge.
I merely wanted to punish her for what she did; it demoralized me to watch her being brought into my palace by the dungeon gammas like a piece of wood. Although she didn't deserve to die, she had been killed by someone the dungeon gammas had yet to identify.
As we are in a key period, all that is required of an alpha is bravery, and that is what I owe the gammas assembled in front of me.
I took a long breath but was cautious not to exhibit fort sorrow.
"What happened to her?" I questioned without expressing any sorrow.
Yes, I questioned unconcernedly since I knew I have to be strong enough to deal with the situation, and I have never been weak in the face of death.
