Capítulo 148: To kill a parasite

A strange man wearing strange clothes was making the strangest of demands. The black-haired boy had been living inside this memory for so long without any visitors, but now Xander's arrival had changed everything. He now finally had someone to talk to, someone to share his stories with. 

However, his duties as a brother still prevented the black-haired boy from betraying Noah to a stranger. Though he retained his memories, the boy was merely an illusion, conjured by the parasite to complete the twisted world he had created in this Soulscape.

Xander knew that he needed to be patient with the boy, or else he risked losing what little trust he had managed to build. So, instead of rushing things, he decided to get to know him better to win his confidence.

"My name's Xander Nyxon. What's yours, kid?" he asked.

The boy looked at his face and answered, "It's Jalen Harwood, sir."
