Capítulo 33: Divorce

Rushing to Selena's side, Ava's trembling hands reached out to check on her. Seeing her worry for her Selena mustered her strength and managed to utter, "It's not mine."

Her words hung in the air, momentarily freezing the room. Ava's eyes widened as the weight of Selena's statement sank in. The room seemed to exhale a collective sigh of relief. The realisation that the blood did not belong to Selena washed away some of the panic and urgency that had gripped them all.

Ava's voice trembled with a mix of concern and relief as she asked, "Whose blood is it, then? What happened here?" She had suddenly realised that if it wasn't her blood then it must be her son's blood. Her face turned ashen her heart ridden with worry. When she came here she thought he was still in the bedroom with Selena because the door had remained shut throughout half the morning.

"Take good care of her," she said as she got up and stormed out of the bedroom. She needed to find her son.
