Capítulo 102: Blood and tears

"Your Highness!" Maid Qu screamed; Huan had not even entered the side chambers and ran in the direction of her voice. "What happened?" she asked, imagining what the worst could have happened. Maid Qu's voice had been audible to Eunuch Jiu and the head guard, who rushed in with a heaviness that engulfed their hearts, unable to comprehend the reason for her scream.

Xuan Cheng lay unconsciously on the floor; the trails of dried-up water were visible and so was the blood that had been dripped from her body when the sharp edges of broken ceramic pieces pierced through her skin. "What happened to Her Highness?" Maid Qu started crying as she approached her after Huan, and both of them began to lift her up and place her on the stool.

"Why did her heart bleed?" she questioned to herself, extremely puzzled.

"Don't you see those pieces of vases?" Maid Qu replied as she inspected one of the pieces.
