Capítulo 5: How do you turn off system alert?
Sun Jing was bewildered as the passengers on the bus continued to yell at him to leave, despite his attempts to explain his confusion. As he approached the object that had materialized before him - a colossal white cross standing almost as tall as he was - a video interface popped up once again, urging him to take it. Upon closer inspection, Sun Jing noticed the edges of the cross were razor-sharp, leaving him no option but to grasp the crystal at its center. As he did so, the cross began to radiate an otherworldly light, and Sun Jing felt a rush of energy surge through him. The system congratulated him on obtaining the knight fragment and revealed that he had advanced to level one, becoming a temporary knight.
To Sun Jing's surprise, the cross was as light as a feather, despite its intimidating appearance. Upon checking his skills list, which only became available upon reaching level one, Sun Jing was dismayed to find that he had no skills. Turning to address the passengers, Sun Jing realized with alarm that they couldn't see the cross at all and were still berating him. Suddenly, the video interface appeared again, presenting a mission: "Escape to the end of the bridge." With the goal approximately two kilometers away and a 15-minute time limit, Sun Jing was suddenly accosted by a cry from outside, sounding eerily like a demon from a horror movie.
Alighting the bus, Sun Jing quickly realized he was on a highway bridge, far from the usual route of the bus. The voice returned, demanding he hand over the fragment. As Sun Jing searched for the source of the noise, the system alerted him "Incoming attack". Dodging to the side, Sun Jing narrowly avoided being struck by lightning that hit the car beside him, causing it to explode. He looked up to see a massive aura of purple lightning looming about 50 meters away, seemingly emanating from the creature that had attacked him. The creature demanded the fragment again as it channeling his next attack.
"Please do not attack me, I will hand it over." Sun Jing raised the fragment to show the creature. The instant when the creature stop his attack, Sun Jing fled. "How dare you HUMAN!" The creature was mad and he channels his energy to form a lightning spear and hurl at Sun Jing. "Incoming attack" the system alerts Sun Jing and helped him to dodged the attack. Each time the creature attacked, the system alerted him, allowing him to evade the onslaught.
After running for around 5 minutes, Sun Jing realized he was alone and stopped. The creature, surprised that Sun Jing had halted his escape when he was only 300 meters from the goal, took the opportunity to close in on him. Sun Jing removed his glasses and stared at the creature while absentmindedly digging his ear. "The system alerts were too incessant," he said, "now it's time for you to run."
