Capítulo 26: Reunion

A few hours later, Lee and I were far from the city, and I fidgeted in the back of the car with the pixie. Lee hadn't told his sister where we were going but had asked her to give us a ride outside the city, as it was related to the attack on our house. She had agreed eagerly, and my heart remained stuck in my throat as I checked my phone. 

I had my old phone in my jacket pocket, intending to give it to my twin. It was clear she had no time to grab her own in the chaos of the attack and I shifted again on the seat. Until I saw her with my own eyes and knew she was safe, I would remain on edge, and I jumped slightly as the pixie touched my shoulder. 

"We're almost there." He reassured me, and I grunted again as I looked away from him. "I know you're worried, but fidgeting won't get us there sooner."
