Enzo's footsteps echoed through the deserted streets as he approached the building once more. The moonlight cast long shadows behind him, and the stillness of the night added an eerie quality to the surroundings. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was amiss, something far stranger than the abominations he had just faced.

As he pushed open the creaking doors of the building, his heart sank. The interior was completely empty as if there had never been anyone there in the first place. The rows of computer screens, the scientific equipment, and the remnants of the laboratory had all disappeared without a trace.

Enzo's brow furrowed in confusion and frustration. He had hoped to kill the doctors and his abominations if needed, but they seemed to have completely fled the scene. Even the people he had talked to those last few days weren't here anymore. Moreover, he couldn't find any traces left behind. Even the beds used to sleep in weren't there anymore.
