As a lone carriage of moderate size made its way towards a squadron of yawning sentries stationed at the west gate of the city, the coachman of the vehicle lifted his hat from his head and nodded at the soldiers. He then tossed a couple of silver coins at one of the sentries, who received it with nonchalance. Such sum was the toll paid to enter Falmundth's capital city.
