"Why is this so expensive?" asked Xue Yang.
"Well, that is one of the best Breathing Exercise Methods out there," said the grandma slowly.
"Senior, can you give me a discount?"
Xue Yang had decided to buy this, but if he could get it cheaper, it would be better. He only had one Grade 3 Spirit Stone. If he bought this Breathing Exercise Method, he would be left with only 600 Grade 2 Spirit Stones.
The old woman looked at Xue Yang. "Buy one more, and I will give you a discount."
Xue Yang didn't expect to get any discount, but now that he could, he would buy another book.
"Senior, I need a Body Refining Art and a Qi Absorption Technique. Do you have any that are of the same quality?" asked Xue Yang.
He then added, "Oh right, it's not for the same junior. I want a fierce type of Body Refining Art and a balanced type of Qi Absorption Technique."
"Is it for the one who practiced the fierce Breathing Exercise Method?"

Zhang Hao was progressing faster than the girls, so Xue Yang wanted to get him the Body Refining Art first. Yu Guanyu and Liu Mei would have to wait a bit longer.
The Qi Absorption Technique, on the other hand, could be shared with everyone. There shouldn't be that much of a difference... right?

In front of Xue Yang were a few slips of paper. Like before, they contained the name of the art or technique and a simple description of it.
Xue Yang read the descriptions before deciding what to buy.
"This one and this one," said Xue Yang. He picked out one Body Refining Art and one Qi Absorption Technique.
"That Body Refining Art is 200, and the Qi Absorption Technique is 125. Adding the Breathing Exercise, it's 725 in total."
The old grandma then thought for a bit. "700. That's the maximum I can go."
"Eh? That's too little, senior. I want it for 650."
"No, 700."
Xue Yang tried to haggle over and over, but the senior remained firm. In the end, he got it for 700 Grade 2 Spirit Stones.
But Xue Yang also got a few miscellaneous items - things like Medicinal Paste, Medicinal Pills, and even a few bottles of Qi and Blood Pills.
These kinds of items didn't cost very much, but they were still valuable enough. Xue Yang was satisfied to get them for free.
"Thank you very much, senior. I will come again if I have a need," said Xue Yang. He had obtained what he needed to get.

Xue Yang opened the bamboo container and revealed the inside to the grandma.
"50 Grade 2. How about it?"
"Sure," Xue Yang decided to just accept the loss.
Based on Bai Bo and Zhou Lan, the price for his Spiritual Water was higher.
"Do you have more?"
"Not here. I only brought this much today."
"Wait a minute," said the grandma. But before she went inside the shop, she handed Xue Yang 50 Grade 2 Spirit Stones.
After about a minute, she came back with a leather pouch in her hand.
"Next time you come here, bring it with this pouch."
"Sure, but give me the right price next time," grinned Xue Yang.
"Hahaha," the old grandma then laughed a bit, "Of course, you noticed it huh? Good, good, I will buy it at the market price next time."

After finishing his shopping, Xue Yang was ready to go back. He followed the main street and walked toward the city exit.
While looking around the main street, Xue Yang stopped for a bit. There was a commotion in a smaller street that branched from the main street.
People were crowding towards the source of the commotion, making the small street packed full.
When Xue Yang looked at the source, he was surprised.
"What are they doing there? Why are they ganging up on a child?" muttered Xue Yang.
A bald man beside Xue Yang heard his mutters and replied, "It's the usual. That gang is just relieving their stress."
Hearing that, Xue Yang subconsciously clenched his fist. He was angry to see a child being ganged up by six people.
Xue Yang considered going there and beating those six people. He was certain that he could win, as the six were only at the first stage.
The bald man beside him noticed the clenched fist and touched Xue Yang on the shoulder. "Better not to go, they are from Budding Verdant. They are backed by the Sword of the Verdant Shadow."
"Sword of the Verdant Shadow?"
Xue Yang was surprised to hear this name. He didn't expect to hear the name of that sect in a fight in this city.
"Those guys from Budding Verdant can do whatever they want because of it. The Sword of the Verdant Shadow really has no opponent in this area."
"What is the relation between the two groups?" asked Xue Yang.
"I don't know. But they are definitely related. A few months ago, a Stage 3 Cultivator from the Sword of the Verdant Shadow even helped solve some of Budding Verdant's problems."
Xue Yang was taken aback when he heard that. "Stage 3?"
"Yup, I saw it with my own eyes."
Xue Yang buried his urge to help the child. His heart felt hurt when he saw the injuries on the child's body. But he would prioritize himself, and more importantly, the safety of his sect.
Xue Yang didn't have the power if he were to fight the Sword of the Verdant Shadow.
'One day, one day I will get revenge.'
"Scram! Don't ever think that you can steal from Budding Verdant again!" shouted one of the men.
"Filthy rat!" shouted the other men.
Xue Yang saw the child limping away from the commotion. The child was walking towards a smaller alley. With the child going away, the crowd also started to disperse.
The six men from Budding Verdant were all laughing while walking away from that place.

Xue Yang didn't know what came over him, but he followed the kid. And it didn't take long for Xue Yang to catch up to the limping child.
"Hey, kid," said Xue Yang. "I have some medicine here."
The child glanced at Xue Yang for a bit, "No, I have no money."
"It's free—"
"Don't lie, I know how you all work.
"You said one thing now. Then you will change it the next day."
Seeing that the kid is stubborn and rejected his help, Xue Yang wanted to go back.
"Well, if you don't want—"
"Big brother, what happened to you?"
A smaller kid, a girl is running toward the boy.
"Did you get in a fight again?"
