Capítulo 25: Second Day I Death? I
Mata came to a halt while staring at Togi, who was still sprinting away, and turned around to discover three Kumo ninja flanking her.
She glanced about for a source of water, but she couldn't locate any.
"I'm at a severe disadvantage here, with no source of water to supplement my water release," Mata admitted to herself.
Wind Release: Wind Arrow said the team leader then blow out a arrow made of wind from his mouth in the direction of Mata.
Mata utilized her water release to create a wall of water which protect her from the enemy attack.
Both attacks countered each other, which make Mata smile for a brief moment, while at the same time, the two other shinobi from Kumo on her right and left utilized the same jutsu against her.
To protect herself from this attack Mata created a doom of water around her.
Both arrows hit the doom, nearly shattering it, but as a result of Mata's perseverance and the usage of additional chakra, the doom was spared. Although she was not harmed by the two attacks, the doom that was protecting her was shattered, leaving her unprotected.
"Wind Release: Air Bullets," exclaimed the group's commander as he sprang toward his adversary.
Four air bullets were now travelling at high speeds in the direction of Mata.
The girl, who was already exhausted from running for several hours and had used a good amount of her chakra to counter the enemy attack, tried to create another wall of water, which unfortunately wasn't strong enough, and after the second bullet hit the wall, the wall of water lost its shape and allowed the two other bullets to pass.
Mata couldn't do anything else after two bullets pierced through the wall of water; the projectiles were already too close to her; the only thing she could do was cover her head with her hand in the hope of surviving the hit.
Mata screamed in agony, "AAAAHHHhhhhh!"
The first air bullet had struck her chest, while the second had struck her stomach; the combined impact of the two bullets was powerful, knocking Mata back a few meters.
Mata was lying on the ground, her entire body hurting, she didn't have the strength to rise up. She also probably had a few bones fractured, she could only hope that she gave Togi enough time to get away.
While Mata lay on the ground, unable to move, three Kumo ninja approached her.
"Look at you, how pitiful, how weak, it's the end for you," remarked the group's leader.
Mata was deafeningly silent in response.
"Well, since you don't want to talk, I'll explain what will happen to you now. We'll make sure you don't become a ninja and you know how we'll do it , It's simple, we'll cut off one of your arms, you'll never be able to become a ninja with only one arm," the team leader smirked.
"You two, go and observe the surroundings; perhaps her teammate has decided to return," stated the commander.
"Of course," both ninja replied.
"Now that the two others are gone, we can start the fun part," stated the Kumo shinobi.
While approaching Mata, the Shinobi pulled a kunai from his vest and swiftly slashed her right arm.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" yelled Mata while screaming from the agony.
She quickly lost consciousness as a result of the horrific pain.
After investigating their surroundings and ensuring that no one was in the vicinity, the two shinobi returned to their captain to inform him that no one was in the vicinity.
"No one is close , leader," both shinobi said.
"Oh well, her teammate didn't show up after all," the leader said.
"What do we do with her?" one of the shinobi said, glancing at Mata, who was covered in blood on the ground.
"Nothing, we'll just leave her here, maybe she'll survive, maybe not, I don't really care." "Leave her here, we need to go, we still don't have all of our required numbers," remarked the team leader.
Following his instructions, the team of three shinobi departed from their location, most likely heading to where they could get what they required.
plop plop plop plop plop It was gradually beginning to rain.
In the middle of the forest Mata was lying unconscious blood was coming out from the numerous wounds on her body.
Near , where Mata was lying , a black and white being emerged from the ground.
He looked at her, perhaps thinking about something no one else knew.
"You could prove to be useful in the future," the black and white monster told the girl.
The girl remained silent.
"Do you want to live?" the man inquired.
A feeble voice could be heard coming from the girl, "yeess."
"Goood," the monster responded, smirking.
The girl had absolutely nothing further to say as the mystery person approached her and placed his hand on her back.
Both of them began to fade into the earth gradually.
Somewhere in the distance
Togi was continuously running through the forest, he looked tired, he had probably exhausted his stamina and was only running because of his perseverance, even if this allowed him to continue running for some time it was not a magical method and soon enough he stopped running out of fatigue, he used the remaining of his strength to position himself near a tree before sleeping out of fatigue.
Soon, the third day will arrive, and every team will want to rush to the location where the trial began in order to qualify for the next trial.
But, of course, it would not be so simple since the examiner expected that only six to ten individuals would qualify, and how did they knew it? It's pretty simple: the amount of numbers they had place in total everywhere could only allow 10 people to pass.
It didn't imply that 10 people would pass; it might be 6 or 9 genin that will pass, it dependent on the genin performance.
