Slowly, consciousness crept back into Lando. A disconcerting, throbbing pain spread throughout his body, each beat threatening to overwhelm him.

He groaned aloud, an echo in the silent darkness. Painstakingly, he rolled onto his side, his eyes straining to adjust to the all-encompassing darkness that swallowed him whole.

No matter where he looked, he was met with an impenetrable wall of obscurity.

Summoning all his remaining strength, he hauled himself into a seated position, his muscles protesting with each movement. A wince contorted his features as he took stock of his surroundings, the loss of his firearm abruptly coming to his realization.

Feeling around with his feet, he gently swept them across the cold, rough floor, hoping for the familiar metallic touch of his gun. Then, a faint clack resonated through the silence - his foot had collided with something metallic. Relief washed over him as he stooped to retrieve the gun.
