Ferdinand pov
It's been 3 weeks since I was suddenly taken away by my Grandfather and Uncle, being placed in a Military Camp to be trained in the Imperial Russy and Cossack way.
The moment I arrived I started to suffer, I was told to do several exercises that quickly tired me, but even so I had to force myself to continue or the Cossacks would beat me.
After Physical Training, I was sent to Military Strategic Training to learn everything about how to be a good Military Leader in the future.
After that came Magic Training, where I have to fight like I was going to die at any moment, I'm not even kidding.
On the first day, I almost flew into the air and fell to the ground straight to my death as I couldn't control the Military Equipment properly on the first few tries.
I also had to face Russy White Mages who were sent to "train" me, for me it was more about using myself as a magic shooting target and punching bag.
Also, the food I ate was of the lowest military-grade, the same as that given to newly arrived recruits, soup was already a luxury for me that was only given when superiors felt sorry (which was very rare).
I try hard every day and every day that passes is even more difficult for me, but I can already see some benefits, even if they are very small, it still counts.
"HURRY UP YOU LITTLE SHIT, WANT TO CLEAN UP LATER LATER?! KEEP RUNNING" A Cossack yelled at me as he reloaded his rifle...I was running while the bastard was shooting close to my legs.
Thanks to the Department I learned to use the "Magic Shield" otherwise I would have lost my legs to the shots a long time ago.

As Ferdinand ran as if his life depended on it (which it did), his uncle was sitting in a chair as he watched Ferdinand run.
"Training is still soft...prepare some Cossacks for a 'surprise attack' on his Tent." Said Nikolay while being served a glass of wine by a maid.
"Understood, Your Highness" Said a Cossack as he bowed to Nikolay before running off to warn the others.
While Nikolay was drinking his wine, Alexander appears with his arms crossed while looking at where Ferdinand was running with all the speed he had.
"How has he been in training?" Alexander asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Fine for now, but I'll make it more difficult... how is the Dacian Royal Palace?" asked Nikolay as he sipped his wine.
"Your sister almost killed Johan using a spoon, it took your Mother and several of the Dacian Royal Guards to stop her." Alexander replied as he saw Ferdinand dodge several bullets from some Cossacks while using Magic Shield.
"Understandable." Nikolay said nodding as he finished his wine.
'How is that understandable, Nikolay?! She almost killed her Husband just because her son is being military trained!' Alexander thought with one of his eyes shaking with irritation.
"Anyway...how has the Dacian Soldiers' Training been going?" Nikolay asked as he set the wine aside and looked into his father's eyes.
"From the reports, it is having an improvement, the Officials stopped calling it 'garbage' and went to 'not very good', which is a significant advance." Alexander replied while focusing his attention on his son.
"Um, yes, while the Dacian Army has Imperial equipment and weaponry, which are the best, it still has untrained personnel, not to mention that just recently, Dacia is creating a Professional Army, even with our help it will take a long time... the best way is to have Life and Death Training on the Battlefield" Said Nikolay as he got up from his chair and focused on Ferdinand, who was now doing squats while a Cossack held a stick.
"Yes, there is no better Training for a Soldier than fighting for his own life, that's the only way to gain real experience." Alexander said with a deep and serious tone in his voice.
"Well...we just have to hope Dmitrievna doesn't try to kill her own Husband again." Said Nikolay as he went to his tent.
Alexander nodded and continued to watch Ferdinand suffer at the hands of the Cossacks
Meanwhile at the Royal Palace
"Please, my dear Wife, understand that-"
"UNDERSTANDING?! YOU SENT OUR SON TO MILITARY TRAINING, JOHAN, NO MATTER HOW MATURE AND INTELLIGENT HE IS, HE IS STILL A CHILD" Screamed Dmitrievna in rage as she held Johan by the neck.
"My dear, I think it's over, you're going to kill him, besides, you're not acting like a true Lady" Natalya said in a scolding tone as she looked seriously at Dmitrievna.
Seeing her Mother's serious gaze, Dmitrievna reluctantly let go of Johan's neck, who was left breathing heavily for air.
"Now you are going to have a serious talk, like civilized people and especially, as Husband and Wife about this matter" Natalya said seriously as she grabbed two chairs and placed them facing each other.
With that, they both faced each other as they sat in their respective chairs, both falling silent before Natalya forced them to speak.
Returning to Camp
While the adults were finally starting to have a civil conversation, Ferdinand was continuing his training, now facing off against the Russy White Mages.
'Shit shit shit shit' Thought Ferdinand while holding his Magic Rifle tightly while trying to dodge the Magic shots.
As he dodged the shots, he saw one of Russy's White Mages taking a break, which Ferdinand didn't think twice before aiming his rifle at the Mage and firing an explosive magic shot.
The shot reached the Mage and then exploded, after the smoke disappeared, it was shown that the Mage was fine and had a Magic Shield protecting him.
"TRAINING OVER" Shouted a White Mage before Russy up to Johan flying by.
"Very good, you finally landed your first shot, but you used more Magic Energy than Normal for that shot, you'll have to improve on that." Said the Mage before patting Ferdinand on the shoulder.
"Cheer up, you've secured your soup today! Hahaha" Said the Wizard before flying back to the Military Camp.
Ferdinand upon hearing this, sighed wearily before following the Mage back to the Camp.

In the Prime Minister's Government Building, the Legatus Arthur Iordanescu was talking with the ambassadors of the Republic.
"Please understand Prime Minister, while the Republic may have supported the Liberals, it was only with the best of intentions, only to help Dacia strengthen itself for the future fight against Imperial Tyranny" Said one of the Republican Ambassadors in Dacia, Désiré Saint-Yves, quite calmly.
Désiré Saint-Yves is a slightly above average-weight 60-year-old man, bald, with a large mustache and green eyes, wearing very formal clothes.
"But I am sure, Monsieur Désiré, that the Republic knew what the Liberal Government was doing in Dacia." Arthur answered while looking into Désiré's eyes.
Désiré was calm before Arthur's accusation, he knew very well what the Republic was doing, but he has to be a good politician and pretend ignorance and even innocence about it.
"Mister Prime Minister, you cannot accuse without proof, moreover, the Republic did not know what was happening, if we knew we would never support such a regime in Dacia." Said Désiré while scratching his chin a little while looking at Arthur.
Arthur hearing this got one of the veins on his forehead throbbing with anger, but he had to calm down and not make a fuss, he then sighed and looked at the Ambassadors.
"That will have to be decided by Your Majesty the Grand Duke, I will speak with him" Said Arthur after thinking a little.
Désiré upon hearing this nodded, while in his mind he felt disgusted by this kind of "Organic Government", the Republic needed as many Allies as possible.
The Republic was already negotiating with Legadonia, if they managed to have Dacia as an ally, they could make a 3-way war against the Empire.
"We understand, Prime Minister, the Republic will await Your Majesty's response" Desiré replied as he and his assistant got up.
Arthur then politely offered his hand for a shake, which was accepted by Désiré and his assistant, after which Désiré left the Prime Minister's office.
"Monsieur Yves, do you really think the Dacians will side with the Republic?" Asked Désiré's assistant as they went to the carriage that was waiting for them outside the Government Building.
"I have my doubts, but the Republic is committed to getting Dacia as an ally, even if they are useless, at least they can make the Empire focus its attention elsewhere, giving us more chance to win against the Empire" Said Désiré as he entered the carriage.
The assistant nodded as he entered the carriage after Désiré entered.
At the Military Camp where Ferdinand is
Ferdinand was sitting facing his Uncle, who was holding a book and dictating some things, it was written on the cover of the book "International Laws of War".
"In Chapter 79, paragraph 5, it is stated that any conflict in Cities without giving Evacuation Orders, before and during battles, is considered strictly Illegal...Tell me Nephew, what are your thoughts regarding this?" Nikolay asked as he stopped looking at the book and focused all his attention on Ferdinand.
"I believe Uncle, that my opinions on this matter should be left to me" replied Ferdinand while a sweat dripped from his head.
"Nonsense, it's just us here... and the 2 Cossack Guards, but don't worry, everything you say will not leave here" Nikolay said while waving his hand in disdain.
"...Then I'll be frank, uncle" Ferdinand said as he turned serious and pointed to the International Laws of War book.
"For me, this is the biggest idiot thing I've ever seen, because giving evacuation orders to a City that is going to be attacked, would simply give the enemy troops a chance to prepare, it is necessary to attack with everything you have to take the enemy from surprise" Ferdinand said seriously and took a deep breath before continuing to speak.
"In a War, there will always be casualties, both of Soldiers and Civilians, however insensitive and cruel it may seem, these civilian casualties that happen can also be considered a blessing...because an enemy will remain an enemy at the end of the day, who guarantees that some of those Civilians will not one day become Soldiers who will fight against us?" asked Ferdinand after giving this mini-lecture of his.
When Nikolay heard this, he raised an eyebrow as he looked into Ferdinand's eyes after listening to this mini-lecture.
'That's interesting' thought Nikolay as he started to read other Laws of War to know what Ferdinand's answer would be.
At the Royal Palace.
The Grand Duke was now talking to Arthur in his office at the Royal Palace about the Republicans and the Alliance they want with Dacia.
"Any suggestions, Prime Minister?" Johan asked as he watched sipping some tea.
"Your Majesty, Dacia is preparing for a War but it is against the Pagans to the South, leaving behind the preparations we are making just to become Cannon Fodder for the Republicans against the Empire is not worth it." Arthur replied seriously as he looked at Johan.
"Hmm...I agree, besides, we are currently dependent on Imperial Military Technology, so it's suicidal to do anything without even having industrialized yet" Johan said as he started to get serious.
"Prepare a well-crafted apology that says we will not side with the Republicans...for now as we will be dealing with other issues" Johan ordered as he looked into Arthur's eyes, who nodded.
"Furthermore, I think we may already be able to start some political hostilities against the Rumelis, as well as secretly support some Slavic and Hellenic Groups to cause a bit of chaos" Johan continued as a dark smile remained on his face.
"I will carry out your order, Your Majesty" said Arthur as he bowed to Johan before being allowed to leave and do his job.
With Johan alone, he looked at one of the office walls, which had the Map of Magna Rumeli.
'We'll just have to wait and get stronger, when the time comes, Magna Rumeli will just be history in the books' Johan thought as the smile on his face grew a lot.
"Soon there will be a New Crusade...under full Dacia command"
