Tamiko watched in silence as his father's wounds closed and his breathing became steady. It was almost like he had given his dear father a miracle drug, when in reality he had just done what would make his erasthai happy. 

The boy was still at odds with his father and no one could blame him for wanting to keep his distance. Besides, some wounds were way too deep and would take a lot of time to heal. 

"He should be fine now," Tamiko voiced, as he looked at his erasthai who was holding his arm. Kosta looked proud of Tamiko, almost like his erasthai didn't just tell him that the decision was made solely for the happiness of the barbarian. 

But what of Tamiko's happiness? Would the boy only ever be happy with Kosta and not the rest of the people who cared about him? What about the bonds that had been forced apart? Oh, Tamiko had a lot to think of but he couldn't do that at the moment.
