When Gabe had agreed to come to the mating ball with his people, he had known the risks. He knew that he was walking into what could be a trap or a death sentence for him. He knew that everywhere was dangerous and he had hoped.

Perhaps he needed to hope more because right now, he was screwed. There was not a soul that would ever be able to save him from this mess, seeing as the King had already brought the attention of everyone to the podium, again.

King Zaffuto was brutal and a menace and as Geb tried to wake up, he could hear voices, but none stood out more than the Lycan King's voice. It was a voice that would always haunt him, the voice of the one person who could end him.

Perhaps he was so worried about the future, or maybe, just maybe, Gabe was slowly letting fate take its course.
